Issues with Kundalini Awakening of the Heart Chakra

Two weeks ago I experienced what a dear friend of mine helped me to understand as a kundalini awakening of the heart chakra.

I came to an enormous breakthrough of self knowledge and self love and in that moment a focused pulse of energy shot through my heart making me gasp and then cry intensely for ten seconds.

This experience was so powerful that it sent me into a manic state that eventually led to my friends having me taken into protective custody. I was only held overnight. The doctor I saw there told me that I was experiencing something that psychologists refer to as spiritual crisis

The doctors put me on a mood stabilizer to pull me back to the ground.

I am now with family and trying to take stock of everything that happened to me.

I am trying to hold on to the spiritual aspects of my experience in the face of a loving family and caring doctors who just want to diagnose and treat me.

While in the post awakening state I seemed to know exactly what needed to be done in every situation I encountered.
The energy was intense. Everyone I met on the street would stop and talk to me and when walking through my neighborhood all of the dogs in the houses I passed would howl. This was not typical of the dogs in the neighborhood.

The main thing I am reaching out about is a ritual of sorts that I felt compelled to perform in my mania.

I had not read about any of these actions. I just felt compelled to perform them and I am curious if any of it lines up with actual documented magical practices.

Some of the details of the "ritual" are embarrassing, and so I would rather discuss it through private messages within this board with any experienced practitioners who might be willing to correspond with me.

I assume there is a private message function on the board. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I am trying to understand what happened to me as I am not willing to write it all of as a medical condition.

Please help.

Were you doing anything just before the experience began? What did you do after the experience but while in your mainc state that caused you to be taken into protective custody? If you don't want to answer that's fine or if you would prefer over PM you can send me a message.

OP, also indicate to whomever you correspond with aspects of previous mental health diagnoses you've had, if any. While I agree with you that heartfelt spiritual experiences shouldn't be written off as medical conditions, at the same time I think it's wise to let people who are trying to help you know a little about your mental health history (including any meds you have or are taking). It will give them a larger picture of your overall situation.

SnowCat is actually a registered nurse, as well as a seasoned witch (believe it or not, that's not such an uncommon combination), so she could look at your problem from both a metaphysical, as well as a mundane perspective. It's always wise to do both.

You need to go to board index to get to into part of the
boards...that'll let us in even if only a little bit for now.
I thought the Kundalini starts from the base of the spine,
I've never heard of it being just in one chakra area, hmmm?
