I've been scanning over the spells here on the site, and was just wondering what it is that makes these spells effective. The one that caught my eye the most was the one where you simply place a picture of someone on a purple plate for 15 minutes, and supposedly the person will call you in 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days.
Questions:
1. Why a purple plate?
2. Why a picture? And what if you don't have a picture?
3. Why 15 minutes?
4. Why 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days?
5. How is this effective? It seems way to simple. Is there not more to it than that?

Re: Questions...
First of all and many others on this site , as well as myself have mentioned over and over again that it's not the spell, it's YOU that make the magic. If the spell doesn't work, it's because of the caster.I've been scanning over the spells here on the site, and was just wondering what it is that makes these spells effective. Second the color purple is Used to secure ambitions, It's vibrancy also attracts people to it, it signifies, power, sucsess, idealism, psychic manifestations, increased persepitions , spirituallity, wisdom, strength and will power.
Third, A picture help insure that the spell is sent or cast upon the right person. If you dont have a picture I'm sure a personal item of theres, handwritting, or there hair would work as well, it's all what you feel the most comfortable about.
Fourth, the time is spacifically for the spell it's self. Who ever wrote this spell simply just had the intentions of giving it that spacific time period.
Finally, it doesn't matter how simple a spell is, as long as the caster has the will and ability and knowledge to properly cast the spell/ritual. If you have those qualities, the spell will be effective.
hope I've helped moonlit

Questions:
1. Why a purple plate? Purple opens/excites the intuitive mental frequency, &'is associated with the third eye, the psi-factor. The chakras generate their own colors in sequence like a rainbow - the violet ray is at the forehead, 3rd eye; telepathy.
2. Why a picture? And what if you don't have a picture? A pictue helps you focus on just that individual. If you don't have a picture do a stick figure drawing and name it as that person. It now "is" that person.
3. Why 15 minutes? Most people lose interest if they have to "work" to focus for a longer period & less isn't long enough to hold the attention. It's a comfortable time frame in my opinion.
4. Why 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days? Five is a number of manifestation. There are 5 elemental states of matter through which desires manifest.
5. How is this effective? It seems way too simple. Is there not more to it than that? Simple spells work best - re: goldilocks zone - not so busy that we're destracted by instructions & enough to catch the imagination. What's missing in my opinion is setting intention, putting the Force into the equation, the Witch's power of Knowing this thing is done is the "go" factor. Setting intention is always required for a spell to “go”.
