i want to do a spell-ish thing but....

i wanted to dothis spell that involved switching consciousness with an animal.
i wanted to do it with my dog, but i worry that the dog will be hurt if i do because of some dark things in my mind.. does anybody know if this will hurt the dog psychologically?

I don't believe it's possible to do such a thing, but if it were, then yes, I think it would damage your dog psychologically. Dog brains aren't meant to process complex human emotion. I would imagine it would drive a dog (or any animal) mad to have to live as a human for very long. But anyway, that spell is just another fantasy spell (like turning yourself into a mermaid, vampire, or werewolf, or to change your eye color, or make you instantly gorgeous). The best you can hope for is that you'll be given some small glimpse into your pet's mind, through empathy. I don't think it will affect your pet in any way whatsoever. So try it if you want to. I suppose there will be those who think it's dangerous because they believe it's possible to switch consciousness with another living being, but I would suggest that they've watched too many Freaky Friday-type movies. I hate to be the skeptical one since I'm running a witchcraft website here, but I can't help it. When you get to my age, you'll be skeptical about a lot of things too.
