Postby love beats all (; » Tue Jan 03, 2012 10:37 pm

When is it appropriate to symbolically Perform the great rite(athame/chalice)? I've only used it during my Beltane ritual but are there any other appropriate times to use it in circle? Like during cakes and ale?
Just started tO wonder lol

Thanks and bright blessings!

Hiya

I always use it in conjunction with the cakes/ale rite. Any time you're celebrating life would be appropriate too, or even just honouring the Goddess and God!

We do it at the end of every ceremony, Esbat, and Sabbat and sometimes we just do the modified great rite if we are only toasting something or honoring something.
So in my opinion it can be done whenever you want.
