Sharing my spell for happpiness

I was recently asked to write a spell to bring happiness to the life of a friend of a friend who has been going through some difficult times. She has a very ill elderly mother and other personal problems that have really taken their toll on her.
I wanted to create a spell that would call on all four elements to lend the spell strength.
Thought I would post here in case it is of use to anybody else:
Need: candle, piece of rock (or stone), chalice (or bowl) , feather, some hair from the person for whom you are casting the spell and a small pouch (or piece of cloth you could stitch closed)
(I also used a purple spell candle to bring healing to the spell)
Take the hair and place it in the chalice
"I float your essence in water
To drift your worries away"
Take the hair and move it swiftly through the candle flame
"I burn your essence in fire
To destroy what causes you pain"
Create a breeze with the feather and pass the hair through the wind
"I pass your essence through the wind
To blow away all that hurts you"
Place the hair under the stone
"I bury your essence in the earth
To hide you from all that thwarts you"
Seal the hair in the small pouch and give back to the person to keep under their pillow.
