Roze Red

Postby Roze Red » Tue Apr 03, 2007 1:12 pm

Roze Red is actually something I use a lot. Back when I first got it, I got it from Stephan King's book and the movie made after it "Rose Red". I heart that movie... honestly though, I think it has a ring to it   heehee

I've tried watching "Rose Red" about three or more times, but it's either nobody wants to sit through the whole four hours or I catch it on tv when it's more than half way over. I hear it's very good. Stephen King is quite an exceptional author.

Okay, is everybody ready for the stroy behind my username?......It's a neat, hair-raising story.......Okay, okay........Here it goes......It's my name!!!! Wasn't that so suspenseful and amazing?!?! :P

Mine actually came from my oldest daughter whose name is Rose and when she was old enough to understand what I do she asked if I was "white" like the lady from Narnia....which she had just seen... And I told her I am white Rose and she started calling me whiterose insted of moomy for a while and it just stuck. Leave it to kids.

My name is Latin for "female serpent." I actually found it while I was looking for Latin versions of other words for a class in which we were studying language families. I had to look up "female," and anything with the word "female" in it came up. I saw the one with serpent, and since I love snakes and serpents and am a female, I adopted it.

Well my user names my actual name but I still love to use it since it has connections with Aphrodite. Not only does my name mean honey bee in greek it was also the name given to the high priestess of the temple of Aphrodite.

Also, there's a great scene in Starhawk's novel "The Fifth Sacred Thing"
that involves Melissa, who is an Oracle of Aphrodite. It's very cool, and a great name-sake! (Though reading "Walking to Mercury" first would help, the book does stand on it's own.)

Dolphin

My name - Dolphin

If I could have an animal familiar (never really got the concept of that) it would be a dog or a dolphin. Didn't really fancy calling myself Dog, so chose Dolphin.

Actually my nick wasn't chosen by me. My friend made it up for me a few years ago thinking that I was mysterious, not fond of the sun and liked to wear black, and then added the fact that I have red hair that looks like fire when light shines on it... voilá, there you have it

Nukey

Nukey is my real name, had it changed back in February 2006.

It was a nickname I hade, when I was living with my ex partner everyone knew me as Nukey because of my "bubbling under the surface" nature and bad temper.

It was at that point I changed it legally. Within 3 days I was a new person with a new identity! It's crazy.

Nukey :)
