I would suggest not to do this until you got a reading. I strongly advise that before doing uncrossing or any actions, a medium, psychic, conjure doctor or a root worker should have performed a reading for the person first. Someone with the gift of insight and discernment regarding these things must determine first if the affliction is a genuine curse before resolving the case. I'm not good at psychic reading so I could not help you with this. I only do auric reading and remote viewing which requires personal (non-virtual) contact and interaction.
Some jinxes and curses are also very tricky, the war water that I'm saying for instance cannot be just disposed wherever you want. There are also curses that in order to break still require necessary additional works like binding, block-breaking, healing, etc.
The cloth on the other hand since it was already examined by a medium and was confirmed that it has negative forces should be uncrossed and cleansed right away.
You may do it with or without your parents. Just make sure to inform them why you're doing it if you wish your parents' presence. Explain them that this work will bring peace within your home and even if they don't believe in magick making, tell them that they must not laugh or scoff at it.

Hello BlueEyedOcelot,
I have read thru' this entire thread and would like to say I'm sorry to read about your troubles and hope you get them solved soon.
I'm brand new to this Forum and you have no way of knowing how knowledgeable I am but I would like to say you've been given some excellent advice by the caring members of this Forum. I think it's wonderful to be able to discuss what you and your family have gone through, and are going through, and have people respond is such a caring way.
I would like to say I totally agree with Seraphin Murmur about getting a reading before you tackle your problem. As I understand it, you live in Toronto - is that correct? If so, there is a store on Bathurst Street, just a few doors south of St. Clair Avenue called The Occult Shop. They have been in operation for many, many years and the owners are very knowledgeable in Witchcraft and Hoodoo. I live out in the country a couple of hours north and west of the city but go to The Occult Shop to buy my supplies. They have Witchcraft and Hoodoo supplies and Lady Tamara, one of the owners along with her husband (I THINK he's her hubby - but no matter) is an insightful, knowledgeable reader. And after your reading you can purchase any supplies right there at the store.
The Lucky Mojo Forum is a great place to gain information as was mentioned; you can also go to A.I.R.R. (Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers) and there are some very good practitoners, readers and (as it says) rootworkers there.
I just thought that it may be better for you to actually sit with someone instead of being on the phone or through email. And I should tell you that many years ago when I was a young practitioner with not a heck of a lot of experience, I was cursed in a terrible way that affected not only myself but my family and Lady Tamara helped me to lift the curse successfully.
