I don't too often use spells I find online unless I feel a certain connection or energy from them (that might sound wierd, lol.). I usually come up with my own spells and use what I think is appropriate for that spell. I use a lot of energy in my workings, I'm am very in tune with the energy around me so I use it often in my spells.
If you want some good simple spells you should read the book "Earth Power" by I believe, Scott Cunningham
