I usually take my grandkids to see Santa on or around my birthday. I started that in 2002, when my grandson was a baby. He's 12 now, and I don't know if he still actually believes, or is just being quiet for the sake of his sisters. They're 10, 8, and 4. Anyway, we have fun with it.

My mother-in-law's memorial service will be on my birthday. My husband is flying out for the service. I am staying home to take care of the farm (mini-farm, not commercial farm). It is a sad time for us.

I will probably spend my birthday with our animals This year. No big celebration. Just some solitary time for reflection.

Mine is the Summer Solstice so there is my rituals for that but not specifically for my Birthday. I generally go out with friends and family for a nice dinner and something new and fun too do. Last year I was in New Zealand with two mates for my birthday and we went hiking/camping from Te Araroa, Cape Reinga to Bluff, on the North and South Islands.
