Re: My Dream Mentioned a Ceremony

I've explained in another thread, but I don't read fully into the mythology surrounding Him (or anyone really) unless He gives me a sign to look into it. I do have a basic idea about Norse mythology, though. I understand many people use this and you as well, as their way of learning and advancing, but I'm in a firm belief that I want to learn it for myself from Him, not read what has been written down by others (myths or otherwise). Unless He tells me otherwise, of course. So far, however, He's been very supportive in this. While it is what the Norse did believe (the myths, that is), it could be true, but it also might not be. (: This is just my personal feelings and beliefs, of course. Haha. I want to learn from Him. He will guide me and show me what to read, as he has been. I have signs that I am given when looking at the correct piece of information (such as the number 13 shows up somewhere in there) and if I'm on the wrong track, He lets me know. It's just a belief I'm very firm with. I don't want my mind being swayed one way or another, if I have prior knowledge to something because I do work with Psychology and I'm very familiar with how the mind works sometimes. Hopefully you can understand and if not, respect it. (:

I've had positive situations come from this as well, such as my first meeting with him. I knew nothing about the Wells or that Odin threw his eye into one of them and learned about them from my experience with Loki. He knows I can't study for too long, so He gives everything to me gradually, which is also another reason why I feel more comfortable doing it this way. (: Once again, I hope that makes sense.
I understand you completely Sakura. As I said in my previous post, you may read and study the Norse mythos and cultures with the help of Loki.

I'm not saying to believe all what you're going to read in lores, mythos and such as first, this too isn't my point of view and second we all know they were just written by man. Man's truth might not be absolute, but Deities' Truth is, I believe. I wasn't suggesting anything about the veracity of the mythos and lores; I suggest to read and study some books regarding some paths that worship Loki including Asatru, Northern Tradition Paganism and specifically Rökkatru (those who follow the underworld Deities of Norse pantheon which includes of course, Loki, Sigyn, Jormundgand, and some of Their kins), to get a sense of your God and His origin and nature.

My perception of my Deities aren't also based entirely on what the book says. Because in my experience, it just gives me expectations and hopes and it can truly limit the experience with my Deities. When I first started contacting my Deities in a way that made sense for me, I went in with the attitude that I was just going to listen and observe. From that perspective, whatever came up was something I knew wasn't a product of my imagination; I wasn't creating anything or making anything happen; it was opening to me.

Actually, I perceive some of my Deities differently and not according to what the Book of myths described Them. Nevertheless, in these differences, I believe They are with me more than ever. It's hard to write, because there's so much contradiction, but even though, Their unique "Divine force" (which the myths confirmed) could still be seen in my magick and spiritual works.

We can't perceive Them only when we don't know how to listen. If we're waiting for something like the folklores and mythologies told about our Gods and Goddesses, that's not gonna happen.
Oh, that's very interesting! (: and wonderful! I'm happy for you both. (: As I said, mine are Hawks and any type of black bird. Usually, they come in pairs (the black birds, that is). I know of Hugin and Munin, and I know they were Raven's, but the fact that I keep seeing pairs of Black Birds makes me wonder if there's a correlation there somewhere. Haha.
Thank you! It's just so lovely, sitting out on the front porch, watching neighborhood life.

Please keep us posted with your new understandings!

Yes, that last sentence explains it perfectly. I totally agree with that Seraphin. (: That's why I don't read up on it. I don't want to have set expectations or to have my mind wander to something I knew before hand. I'm able to see things now, and know they have importance then see things that he shows me. Then I look it up to see what it meant in the mythologies. (: I don't read too, so I can get to know their personality through them, and if He wants me to know something, as I said He lets me know. (: So I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from!

You're very welcome, and thank you! I appreciate it, and I will continue to share!

Exactly! A lot of people who looked at their Deities based on what other people say aches with expectation and sometimes, they blatantly demands Gods and Goddesses act according to the description and interpretation of the books.

My personal work and experience with my Deities reveals a lot to me. Being a worshiper and follower of these Deities is not just about "reading the Mythology" but living with Them by being loyal and forever grateful to Them. I believe all Deities come in our life to fulfill Their purpose and personally showing their chosen people how to understand things and practice our spirituality, to show us how to work with Them according to Their standards.
I don't read too, so I can get to know their personality through them, and if He wants me to know something, as I said He lets me know. (: So I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from!
But I read. I try to view the entire mythos and lores about my Gods and Goddesses through Their cultural mindset and adhere to all Their works, stories, laws, and wonders instead of allowing myself to be swayed by "what some men told me".

Although I believe my Deities' attitude or image might change, Their provisions have not changed; their divine force has not changed. They are here to help us to do our will; not negate our will. And I simply want to listen.

I know you read, I think that part of what I was saying was misinterpreted. Haha. (: I was saying I don't read too, as in, me myself doesn't read on top of what else I was saying. Haha, but none the less, I understand where you're coming from. (:

And I agree about going with what others think about them! (: It's much more fun to learn it yourself, in my personal opinion. I agree with the living and following them too. (: It's a very wonderful experience.

Oh... Haha!!! Frustrating sometimes, isn't it, that information so often comes buried in symbolism when it would be oh so nice to just have someone come out with a straight answer. Nice thing about it is the way these things can lead to finding patience and acceptance -- can't find those unless you're actively working on them!

Sometimes, though, I get impatient with having to be patient... hee

Oh, yes! But honestly, I think he knows I enjoy it. My absolute favorite games to play are puzzle games, and now I have a real life puzzle game that actually bears importance. I couldn't be happier with this! (: But I get impatient too. Haha.

I think that's His mission; to puzzle and challenge people. In this way, you have the opportunity to strengthen your loyalty and connection to Him.

I'm actually happy for you as you are very determined and strong willed woman. I already seen many folks who were also been challenged by Chaos Deities and Deific Daemons but instead of confronting Them, they just screamed and ran for the door, trampling in their efforts to get away.

While "we", people who understand Them, we just sit calmly in our pew, seemingly oblivious to what's going on  , playing puzzles and mazes :) .

I think our differences with those folks is that we had been challenged enough and we have have daily interaction with the sons, daughters, sisters and brothers of these Chaotic Deities in the form of people who enjoys spoiling our day and marring our consciousness  . How much worse could They be?

OH, I totally agree! haha. You should see what I do with Loki. He understands how I am, and I honestly call him names sometimes. It's all in good fun and joking, deep down he knows it's a form of endearment. In fact, he quips back. Haha. So I know he doesn't take offense to it. We already just have a strong bond that I'm looking to expand more, and I was hesitant to work with him but now I"m glad I am! (:

And thank you for the compliment. Haha. x3

Too bad you're not closer Sakura! I love doing fellowships with other pagans worshiping Deities with same nature ! Love open minded folks, too!

*Hugs!*

We do that sort of endearment too  . Sometimes if They notice there's something wrong with me, They would either kick my ass or slash me with their vicious, vicious words. I'm happy when they do that as it helps me to be stronger. Mythos and experiences from other folks tell us that, unless we experience those "kind of endearment", we can't understand Them.

Yes! It's all fun and it fills that little hole deep in my soul; I feel empty without jokes, pranks, tricks, puzzles, and challenges. The emptiness I sometimes experience longs for those seemingly elusive "completions".

One thought: Now, since you're developing strong bonding with Him, don't let His obstacles deceive you. Always remind yourself, They are tests. Loki is still the God of Mischief and Chaos and He will knock Himself out to challenge people because He knows that there are still some cases you're going to fall short and His approach to correcting you is based on negativity. Always treat EVERYTHING you hear, see, and feel as part of your journey with Him. If something doesn't line up, then it is of Loki. :)

Yes, it's very amusing, and I would feel lost if I didn't get anything from him anymore. ): The days he's gone I'm sad because it's so quiet! Even though there's actually no sound. LOL

And yes, I do that already. x3 I've caught on quickly, which I think is part of why he loves me so much. I don't really take his crap, and if he tries to deceive me, it's usually a few days at most that it takes me to figure it out. Haha. While driving, I keep my eyes open to see what I can see, and anytime I go out, I do too, so I can keep note of it and see if it has importance. (: So I'm glad to know I'm on the right track! Haha.

I'll be closer to him soon enough, I"m sure.
