Well my parents are Christion and i whould get yelled at and blah blah blah...i dont live with them but i dont want to put up with the way thay whould treat me. My moms side of the family gossips, and nitpicks horable i was already ragged on for 3 years and told not to get around my little cousins because i dressed in all black and also told "I wasnt trusted" but i was never told this to my face, thay wont do that so thay told my mom and my sister and my mom kept me away and then my sister told me thay didnt like me around them...yeah whole other long story....Anyways, my aunt gave me tarot cards for Yule last year and i was practicing with thim her her car when my mom was at the dr and droped some of them my mom found them handed them to my aunt and said someone is going to hell for owning thes...so my aunt had to reach around and hand them to me after that and my mom didnt say another word. so i belive some parts of your life should be private and i also belive you should tell people you trust wont phisicly or mintaly hert you for telling them. If i was still liveing with my parents and thay found out i had started becomeing intrested in paganisim i whould be sent to the church paster and have a long talk with him and "scared" back into christianity by promasis of going to hell.

Sorry about that all but i agree with 2 people telling your parents whould be wonderful if thay accept it, also keeping your life private is a great thing to be able to do.

I guess I'm rather lucky in that aspect... my mother's a christian but still she's rather open minded when it comes to witchcraft, although I think she would go a bit nuts if I started doing things in my room. But anyway, she never got bothered by my taste or interests, from music, to clothing, etc. I've had my "all black clothing" phase and she never disaproved, she actually liked some of the clothes and would tell me "don't wear that, wear this instead, it looks better". She once bought me a book about spells because she found it very interesting (she actually pointed it out to me in a store) and she already went to tarot readings with my brother's godmother, who also gave me a tarot deck.

By what I'm saying, she doesn't sound much like a traditional mother, but she is, too protective, always warning me about stuff and always afraid of every stranger I meet lol but still, she always allowed me to choose to do whatever I want to do because she trusts my judgement.

My father's like that too, a bit more nosy but still, and let me quote: "I can't tell you what to do." Yay :p
I remember when we went to the book store on my 16th birthday and I chose Montague Summers' The History of Witchcraft. My mom gave it a few weird looks but she never said a word of disaproval and I sure do know when she doesn't like something I do.

So I guess that in that aspect I can be considered lucky

When i was about 16 we where at a book store and i asked if i could look at the section where the pagan books are, my parents looked at me and bouth yelled "No! Why whould you wanna do a demonic thing like that!?" So i made up this little excuse and it was " Because if i arguee about it with someone whouldnt it be better for me to know what i am argueeing about?" My father said "Thats a good point, but still we disaprove of it." I wasnt alowed to look in that section. A fue weeks ago i whent with my mom to a book store and i know my mom wasnt happy me and my aunt "drifted" to that section, and i know she wasnt happy i got a book, but she really dosnt know what book i got so she hasnt said anything. My aunt and i where talking one day about how i was mad at someone and my aunt said remeber the wiccan rule on 3 hunny dont do anything to them and thay will get theres, and my moms gaw droped opend and said in the Bible its the 10 folds rule and it will happen 10 times not 3....my aunt looked at her meanly and i just said well 3 is bad enught I dont need 10 times. My mom has had her hints but sence i still go to her church for human interaction so she hasnt said anything to me.

I also havent told my feoncie yet. I told him i have been reading alot about it and when we where at the Ren. Fair i was looking at runes and books on the sabbats and explaned to him someof them. He also knows i have 2 books about it here and tarot cards that i use and i use aromatherapy. I also dont really wanna consider myself Wiccan untell my year and a day, but do you think its wrong of me to not tell him that i am planing on considering myself wiccan here in a fue months? I know this is kinda contridicting my post above but i donno how I feel about telling him I feel like i need to just say it but i also feel like if he dosnt know by now...

my parents know i am interested in witch craft but they are just telling me i am a witch when they see me reading something about the craft. maybe because i am just reading and not really practicing the craft! i know they will freak out when they found out i am chanting some spells every now and then behind there back.

i read some articles that a person practicing witch craft can also be a catholic or any other religion at the same time....is this true? i am a christian and i am also interested in the wicca. can i be both christian and a pagan practitioner at the same time?

I have herd this to, i really havent looked into it much but my aunt clames the christian god as the only god but also clames she is wiccan , my mom on the other hand see it as being hippacritical and sinful, and dose not know about me other than my tarot cards...witch i am going to hell for owning...from what i understand of is really is witchcraft is used in many differnt religons, like you can be wiccan without practising witch craft....because witchcraft is a way of life, wicca, celts, druidisum is the religon...this is my understanding of it i am not sure how correct it really is.
