No, it's called the UNIverse for a reason.

I'm not sure. Everytime I try and grasp the concept I am left dazed and confused. :?

Well... the video never stated that they DIDN'T come back with different properties from when they left.
I think that if they did come back differently, then the video would have stated it to further prove the theory.

I'm more curious as to what will happen once we know how we got here. What will people do once they find out?

I used to be concerned with finding information about the beginning of the universe. I'll still read information about it, but I don't actively seek information on the subject anymore. There are all of these other things that I know I can find answers to in my lifetime, that I tend to spend my time on.

Not saying that spending time on finding out how the universe began is a waste of time. I'm sure it's not for many people. I have come to the conclusion there are so many options regarding this subject, that I will never really know for sure (before I die) and I'm okay with that.

I'm more interested in studying the people who study this topic. You folks are more fascinating than whether it was a "big bang" or not. I absolutely LOVE studying, watching, trying to figure out humans. I was raised in way where the people in my life were very predictable, because everyone behaved exactly the same because it was a cult. Now that I'm not in the cult and I can see that people have different interests than I do and study all sorts of cool things, I can't stop watching you all. I just find people so fascinating!!

At any rate, I just think that the older I get, the more I feel that knowing how we got here, isn't really going to change a whole lot in my life before I die. I could be wrong. Perhaps if someone figures it all out, we'll learn how to float through the air or something spectacular about the universe will come into light. But for now, I'm satisfied with hearing all of the theories we humans make up to make ourselves feel better about why we're on the earth.

I agree that in my lifetime I will not know how to universe came to be.
I cannot help researching it though. The unknown fascinates me.

And, humans interest me as well. I'm a HUGE people watcher. In the mall, the movies, even while I'm driving... but, that's not always the safest thing for me to do.

It's just amazing how many people you see, and might never see again, in just a single day.

Two weeks ago I went to the grocery store to pick up milk for my mom. A very handsome boy bumped into me, and he dropped the bag of marshmellows he was carrying. Being polite, I picked them up. And we both kind of stared at eachother for a few seconds. The awkward "What should we do now?" thing. Well, we parted ways. And today, I found myself thinking about him. I wonder if I should have said something witty to ease his obvious embarassment. I wonder what exactly he needed marshmellows for. And I wonder if he wonders about me. Or did I enter and escape his mind as quickly as we bumped into eachother and departed?

Oh, I have a question. Does anyone think that mutants exsist? I'm talking about kick-butt X-Men mutants here. :D

True. But, people who are more psychically aware than others are said to have mutated genes. Not that that's a bad thing. I think it's pretty cool.

I'm talking about the Xmen type you referred to in your post. The kind with rapid cell regeneration, ability to fly, ability to spew fire and ice from their fingertips, shape shift, etc. These types I believe are purely fanatical and perhaps could only exist in another universe.

However, I believe that "Xmen" and "Heroes" characters are inspired by true abilities. For example when you think about it, the world has healers. Some people have the ability to heal a heart through conversation and listening, other physically heal through massage therapy and so on. No, they cannot touch someone and make third degree burns disappear, but they are healers nonetheless.

Also think of the Tibetan monks who train and meditate to control their bodily temperatures. While they certainly won't start a fire with their hands, they can make themselves hotter or colder.

Hypnotists have a way of mind control. Etc, etc.
