I have an interesting view on lucifer maybe i've read too many sylvia browne books but makes sense to me I do believe in a heaven that our souls travel to in to the light when i get there i do believe that our souls then heal from our earthly travel we just went on and eventually we reincarnate again if our soul decides to... now where lucifer comes into my mind is well I see him as not being a bad guy really just the guy who is like the gate keeper to the souls who are lost and or dont' wish to follow the light basically. He's not really a keeper ofa fiery hell per say but just the door where the lost souls go to be reincarnated again without reaching heaven and embracing the light hmm wow this is really hard to put into words for me. So all in all he has his own special job now as far as him being cast out or god being angry at him or what not I have no real thoughts on that. either way i believe someone has to watch the other gate to make sure the souls that don't want to embrace the light get into the other door. I wouldn't say he was either good or evil he is surrounded by allot of dark souls so it would be hard to say. I don't really he think he keeps an army together of the lost souls but only throws them back to earth basically. hmm hard to say though dunno..
Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul. And sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all...Emily Dickinson
Satan was the one who kept telling Eve to eat the apple, right?
That pretty much solves any dilemma I have over that being right away. One wanted to keep humans in ignorance, the other wanted them to make up their own mind about such things.
I know which one I prefer. Knowledge and autonomy wins every time.

I suppose one could say that. The truth of the matter is is that no matter what your religion/spirituality/belief, everyone is going to have a different view on who Satan is, and what Satan did.Someone who is wiccan told me that Lucifer isnt the devil that christians makes him out to be...that he is really Lucifer, god of Light and goodness...and is brother to Diane, goddess of the moon.... and that the name Lucifer actually means Bringer of light...is this true?

on the concept of Satan, good and evil
When it comes to concepts of being such as Satan I try to look at organized religions that have been around longer than Christianity.
The oldest organized religion, with dated text, is Hinduism. There is no central being in Hinduism that you can refer to as THE DEVIL. Rather there is a concept of duality. For the universe to be in balance we must have positive and negative.
It is thought that the negative aspect is seen through the temptation placed in our paths every day. Hindu's refer to a number of minor beings that offer temptations but nothing else.
Even in Buddhism, Mara is only a tempter, attempting to lure us off our path to enlightenment.
In Judism, Ha-Satan is the title given to Gods angle who tests mans devotion to God.
It's only in Christianity and Islam that I've seen Satan take on the role of some great eater of souls.
I believe that all religions are attempting to give a personality to the human nature, so that they can attempt to teach moral leasons as morality is seen within that faith.
Within each of us, we have the potential for "good" or "evil". According to our developed ethics and moral set, we conduct our lives. Some times we yield to things that we know to be wrong and that causes guilt (some call it Karma).
It's that emotion, that energy that the faiths/religions are attempting to define. Guilt causes us to lose focus and diverts us from our path.

The mind is a window to the universe, but for many the window is closed
Truth is unique, it seldom has meaning for anyone other than the one who speaks it.
My opinion is my own. I am willing to share it, though you are not required to accept it.

Satan
Satan is that loud voice in your head that denies your oneness with god. God/higher self/guardian angel always speaks of your highest desires, satan/the devil/your ego always says it cant be done or you cant have that. You may want to work at a certain job or perform a certain task in life then theres this loud voice telling you people wont approve of you or a person from your background cant do something so spectacular. your ego is just a vast library of all the lies society has taught you since you were growing up and you believe them for so long that they have been washed into your concousness. your sub-consous mind is the graveyard of all the truths you have denied your whole life. you and god are one and as long as you deny that you will live in hell. Jesus said ",I and the Father are one and ye are my brethen",. You bleed the same blood as Jesus believe it or not.

On the nose for me! Satan is the perversion of the Horned God/Pan. I don't believe in Original Sin, Satan or Jesus [who is actually just Mithra in disguise.] Christians took other people's gods and changed the names/story for power & control.Hi
i think Satan is a Christian perversion of the old gods and it depends what country your in as to the name of the god the Christians tried to tell you was Satan, back then Christianity was a new church looking for power to control everyone, so if you wern,t one of them you where evil they where the born agains of that time now a couple of thousand years on there established with a massive power base, which is what they where after most of there so called holy days where on or near pagan festival days, which helped to get converts, have a look at the tarot card xv Cernunnos, is that horns i see, gods go by different names in different places but its still the same god, the goats head as a representation of Satan is seen by Christians as un holy because of the implied strength and virility and independent free spirit, which is what the Christians preached against because it cant be easily controlled, and control is what the Christians wanted/want.

The religion I connect myself to, believes the above. Lucifer (or Lucifero) is light and Diana the dark. His name does mean bringer of light.Someone who is wiccan told me that Lucifer isnt the devil that christians makes him out to be...that he is really Lucifer, god of Light and goodness...and is brother to Diane, goddess of the moon.... and that the name Lucifer actually means Bringer of light...is this true?
