While one does get some interesting input *comparing* these two, they aren't by any stretch of the imagination, really compatible except in a few cases.
I could go on and on... in fact, I'm feeling sufficiently geeky to go all out and write up a big article thingie (technical term) about why they as listed aren't compatible, but why even better choices (mine...) don't work either.
It's going to be.. LONG. It may take me a while, too, since I'll need to do illustrations.
I mean, I really gotta rant about putting Algiz and The Moon together. OR heck, the Tower and FEHU??? Even taking into account a gnostic view of the world it STILL doesn't make sense. So Thorssen does, "today is opposite day???" Grumble.
I mean, if they were going for the full tilt gnostic view, wouldn't they use "the Devil" and "Fehu" instead??? Or even "Othala" and the "Devil"??
I'd have to re-evaluate to see if he does the Thelemite version of Gnostic, which is even weirder, but I think I would have seen that already.
To be brutally honest, I think he put these out just to see if the people he was associating with knew anything about symbolism... and anyone with the where-with-all to correct him sensibly might have gotten extra points.
That's the charitable explanation.

(funny how I remember reading that Thorssen's ego might not have been up to this...)
Oh, and I might actually put this into a webpage and link it here, so I can be a little more effective with the formatting. (I don't know PHP)
