I just focus energy of my spirit and the four elements into my hands around this time of year, for real, if you focus hard enough, It can keep you warm. Thats how i stay heated in the winter, i focus energy to my bare skin and it keeps me warm. I also focus and draw energy from a round, lit, purple candle. I meditate that energy into my third eye and use it to focus energy to my body in the cold.

Theres a very simple type of meditation. You sit down and breathe in and out trying to get the exhale the same length as the inhale. Focus on your breath, when you get that done and down you can move onto drawing in energy with your breath. Breathe in white energy that is good and strong, breathe out the bad energy within you that is dark of dirty looking. I used this when I first began. Its simple. You may only be able to do it for a minute of two, but if you keep practising you will be able to just sit down and feel immeaditly calm. Thats the state you want when preforming a spell. Calm and energized. I hope that helped.

The world seems not the same
Though I know nothing has changed
It's all my state of mind
I can't leave it all behind
I have to stand up to be stronger---Pale by "Within Temptation"

Ah, great description of a simple meditation Suki
! It is something like what I started doing, and even more similar to my current style.
Putting your focus on your breathing, simply listening and feeling the air moving through your body helps pull your mind away from distracting thoughts. And the clean white and dirty black are good ways to visualize and distill feelings and even physical stress. Get enough practice, and you can work out tension that way too
;). Almost like massaging.

Thank ya very much. I still use that alot when I'm tired and need to just relax. It's what I started with and what I recommend doing for any person just starting out.

Only through silence can we truly hear the words of the Goddess and God.
Meditiation is a time for reflecting. Like Suki said, just take deep breaths in and out, stay calm and try to relax as much as you can, with every exhale, visualize all the tension or negative energy from any specific problem you have just leaving your money. If you do it right you should feel a lot better and "lighter" after.
If you can while relaxing, try to keep your spine straight while you sit. Your spine the main path of travel for energy so if you relax and try to visualize negative energy gathering into your spinal cord and down out of you. This helps me to relax and ground out some anger, uneasiness, and negativity that I have.
I hope that this helps!
