I apologize as this is bound to be a long story. I'm desperately needing a way to find my dad's stolen inheritance. Several years ago my grandma passed away, leaving a very large sum of money to my dad. She lived during the Great Depression and didn't trust banks so she kept everything in a safe. After she passed, my dad chose to honor her beliefs by continuing to keep the money in her safe instead of putting in the bank. The safe was later broken into and the money stolen by my mother, who is a narcissistic drug addict. My dad's job required him to travel long distance on a weekly basis so though he was aware of her issues with addiction, he was unaware of how far gone she really was. He finally realized upon retiring a couple years ago and at that point, he told her he wanted a divorce. She told him then that she would make sure he wasn't going to leave her with nothing and soon after, my grandma's safe was broken into and the money came up missing. My mom has long denied robbing my dad but there's no way it could've been anyone else.
I've long had a gut feeling the money she hid the money somewhere in the house in case he ever made good on his word to throw her out. I know she's an addict and people with addiction problems can burn through money at a quick rate but it was such a large sum of money, I dont believe there's any way she could've gone through all of it that quickly; especially considering she gets her own monthly pension from my dad's retirement, separate from his, that entirely goes towards fueling her addictions. I just don't know where she could've hidden it, as their house is very old and very large with various areas where something like that could be hidden. Originally I thought she hid it in the basement as she'd mentioned being in the basement sorting through her late first husband's belongings the week the money came up missing, but after my dad searched there I realized it was likely a red herring.
I've recently resorted to using a pendulum, but since I'm still fairly new to practicing I'm unsure of it's accuracy. I've used it a few times and it always rotates clockwise for "yes" and counterclockwise for "no" but so far it's only been accurate once, mainly because the other situations I've used it for I likely won't see the results of for an extended period of time and I acknowledge that. I'm wondering if anyone else has better insight on the accuracy of pendulums? I asked if my mother stole my father's inheritance, it spun clockwise. I asked if she'd spent all of his inheritance, it spun counterclockwise. I asked if she spent any of it, it spun clockwise. I asked if the money was still hidden in the house, it continued spinning clockwise. I then went through mentally focusing on every room in the house, starting with the basement and working my way up; it spun counterclockwise for every single room until I made it to the attic, when it begun wildly spinning clockwise. The attic is completely unfurnished with nothing but bare wooden support beams and insulation, little to no places to hide anything except a pile of excess insulation, making it truly the last place anyone would think to look. I've asked my pendulum the same series of questions multiple times over the past couple of days, the answers always coming out the same, but I won't know whether it's accurate until my dad is able to get my mom out of the house long enough for the attic to be searched. Until then, I'm looking for anything else I can possibly do to try to draw out where this money has been hidden, any suggestions are welcome.
It's of utmost importance I help my dad find his inheritance. He's extremely depressed and essentially a shell of a person because of it. He's unhappy with the person my mother has become but he can't afford to divorce her on his pension alone, as her pension goes entirely towards her addictions he can barely afford to even keep his bills paid and food on the table, she's managed to nearly bankrupt him with her addictions. My dad's a good man who worked hard at his job his entire adult life and now he has nothing to show for it, all because he loved someone who's manipulative and toxic. I know money is truly worthless in the grand scheme of things but I also know finding that money would solve all of my dad's problems; he could afford to end his unhappy relationship with my mother, he could afford to fix up his rather dilapidated house, he could finally live comfortably without having to worry about money problems for the first time in his entire life. As well, I can't help but have this gut feeling my grandma isn't exactly resting comfortably knowing what was hers has been wrongfully taken from the person she cared for the most and chose to leave it to, by someone she took in and cared for as family. It's important to me to do everything within my power to find what was taken, for both my dad and my grandma, so again any and all suggestions are fully welcome and appreciated!

It will come back threefold if you let it. An affirmation such as "this situation is alright in the end" would do it well. barker

Your grandmother might know. Especially if you feel that she is not resting peacefully, she might be willing to help. I would probably do meditation and ask for her assistance be sure to incorporate an object that belonged to her. Stay away from any spirit summoning and ouija boards for communication.

Without access to the house you could make a diagram & use your pendulum as a hot/cold indicator of how close you are to it's position. Hold the pendulum in your dominant hand & place a finger of the other hand on the diagram. It's best if you remain emotionally detached during the session.
Didn't the police dust the safe for prints when the break in was reported? If not originally reported then finders keepers holds no strength & you might anticipate a 2nd "finding" might be reported as theft.

You can talk to your grandmother using a pendulum. I prefer clear quartz. Note that the pendulum can only answer yes or no questions unless you create your own grid. But make sure to make a cleansing ritual as you might invite spirits that would pretend to become your grand mother. Burn sage and set an intention to ward off any spirit that may pretend to be your grandmother.
If you are strong enough, you can hold a raw merlinite while holding your pendulum. It's my favourite stone for necromancy or basically just talking to the dead. I have a merlinite specifically for my grandmother since she still guides me and won't transition unless she's confident I can be independent.
Some people do not like merlinite because it scares them and cannot handle their energies. You need to meditate on your 3rd eye for some time to be able to harness it.
You can also use tarot to talk to your grandmother.
I hope this helps!

Sorry for not responding back sooner, hectic couple of weeks between work and child. I really appreciate the responses though!
As waiting for it to come back on my mom, I don't think that's an option. It's like karma and the rule of three completely evade this woman. She's been a literal monster to her entire family for nearly 20 years and it only seems affect the people she hurts, it's.. peculiar, to say the least. Plus, I don't want my dad to have to wait to get her out of his life and get his together and the only way he could possibly afford to is if he finds that money. He's done so much for me even when he was struggling and I really can't help but want to be able to help him for this.
As for whether police investigated to prove my mom did it, my dad never contacted police. Since my grandma didn't trust banks due to her experiences in the Great Depression, it wasn't exactly handed over to my dad through a traditional will. She had a will stating my dad would inherit all of her possessions but the amount of money was never stated in the will. Instead she left a note hidden in her apartment for my dad with the combination to the safe. Before that, none of us even knew about it. She lived an extremely modest lifestyle due to her Great Depression upbringing, I mean she would rinse & reuse ziplock bags and stuff like that; we knew she wasn't struggling but we never had any reason to think she had all this money squirrelled away. There's nothing illegal about the amount not being specified in her will as inheritance isn't taxed, but not having a specified amount on record leaves my dad with no proof that he ever had it in the first place. Plus he just doesn't see the point in getting police involved when he knows it was my mom, no one else has keyes to the house and no one had been there but her that week. The only reason to would be to put her in jail but it wouldn't guarantee finding the money, or it would cause her to find somewhere to stash it outside of the house.
As for contacting my grandma, I've considered that but as I said I'm still new to all of this and nervous about trying. Plus my grandma was really religious and I don't know if she'd condone the fact that I'm into witchcraft, though part of me feels like she understands. That's part of why I'm new to all of this is my family and the people around me are either religious or atheist and don't really believe in all of this so I suppressed it my entire life and have only been slowly getting into it over the past year or two. My grandma has contacted me a couple times through dreams, the one I remember the most was about a year after she past she told me I was pregnant and she told me I was having a girl, so contacting might be something she would be okay with.
I definitely wouldn't use a ouija board under any circumstances. As I mentioned in my OP, my mom has a late first husband who is my brother and sister's dad and as a teenager, my sister and her friends decided to use a ouija board to try to contact him and swore they encountered something demonic. I don't know whether I believe it or if my sister was trying to scare me as a kid, but I wouldn't be surprised. Also if they really did bring something dark into the house, it would kind of make sense why my mom did a complete 180 from damaged but still decent person to full blown narcissistic meth and pill addict who sucks the life out of everything around her, since they'd played with the ouija board around the same time.
I would be open to using tarot though I'm still really inexperienced with it. I own a deck and a book explaining it but I haven't really been able to find the time to sit down and experiment with it yet. I've experimented with my pendulum more, as I mentioned in my OP, though I've never really thought to use it to contact my grandma. Mine is amethyst which is sort of symbolic for my grandma and myself since it's our birthstone. I do agree though, no matter how I choose to attempt to contact her I definitely need to do a cleanse on my house. Especially since I went through a patch of severe depression due to a really bad breakup and some health issues that have been affecting my energy, my house is in desperate need of both a physical and spiritual cleansing lbvs.
Again I really appreciate all the responses! I think using either the pendulum or tarot may be the easiest routes since they're things I already have on hand. Thank you all for your advice and I will do my best to keep updated on how things go!

Re: Ideas for retrieving a stolen object..?
A psychic suggestion: Money is proof of grace... now that is your, er, intellectual property insofar as your mind is knowing it... thieves can be very clever in the way that they leave "I am great" on their victims. Just to do it with heart first, next mind.
Heart: Feel the way you really do about your whole life, honesty no doubting it
Mind: Think for a bit about what you choose, and is it fair and square - if 'yes,' yes is about to become what spell?
