Potions, their uses

Postby atmospheric.amethyst » Tue Dec 25, 2018 12:10 pm

Hello! I've had a look around and I've struggled to find anything so far : But I'm curious to know what exactly you can do with a potion once you've made it?

I just don't want my potions all labelled up, in little jars, sat away on my shelf doing nothing.

I've made one "spiritual awakening" potion and a "clearing of negative energies" potion, now I just have absolutely no clue what to do with them! And, as nice as they smell, I don't really fancy on drinking them..

Any help or ideas what so ever would be immensely appreciated...

Blessed be! :flyingwitch:

My favorite use is for consecrating candles. But also I like to use them in my diet. An example recently would be my version of Four Thieves Vinegar. I drink it to keep my urine tract clean and my digestive system balanced.

Some potions aren't for drinking (as they may contain toxic substances) but are for pouring upon things, places. They can be used in anointing the self or tools.
The ones that can be consumed, should be. Utilize your magic!

Excellent! I'll keep that in mind that sounds like something to do, I just had a thought that I could encorporate it into a bath and pour it into the water. I'll have to see what works

I've never heard of Four Thieves Vinegar. It sounds like something I might want to try.

There's a lot of recipes for it. Quite simple really, just add the stuff you like to ACV and let it sit 4 days and 4 nights.
I used rosemary, basil and cloves in my last one. But the recipes call for more than that. I just roll with what's on hand. If I do it again the one thing I would change is that I'd use a tea ball or strain it out after. I take a shot glass of it every few days.
My dog when she was a puppy- I cured a urine tract infection and saved a major vet bill. Then I got one last year and cured that too. My doc wanted me to use antibiotics and I said sure if this doesn't work. Week later my culture came back as clean as a whistle. He was completely mind blown.
Oh and say goodbye to heartburn too.

Potions can also be used as aerosol sprays to replace incense & burning herb bundles when smoke is an issue.

And AC vinegar & honey is very helpful against acid reflux, or chronic indigestion. I've used it as well as the 4-Thieves recipes that included garlic & balsamic vinegar as a salad dressing with olive oil.

Any herbal brew can be used to spritz on petition or good quality spell paper or BOS pages that is then dried before being written on. Use potions like you'd use oils to add oomph to spells.
