I’m trying to find how to make a black scrying mirror. Anyone have a idea?
Thanks!

Re: Scrying Mirror
Easy. Get a small can of black matte spray paint (or brush-on tube of paint & a brush or sponge applicator) from a hardware or arts& crafts shop/isle & a picture frame with a glass (from a thrift shop) & disassemble it. Clean both sides of the glass well. If you paint over a finger print it will always be there to remind you. Spray paint the back of the glass with 2-3 lightly sprayed coats so the back of the glass is evenly & completely covered. Let it dry completely between each coat. Reassemble the picture frame with the shiny, unpainted side outward. That's the side you gaze in.
A variation would be to spritz a tiny, tiny bit of glitter on the surface before applying the first coat; just putting the glitter in the corners & leave a center oval-shaped area without sparkles. This only works with spray paint because brush strokes would remove the glitter. When you're done that glitter will remain behind the glass, backed by the black paint

Re: Scrying Mirror
I have done the spraypaint method before, I make a bunch then sell them. One problem with that is the back can be easily scratched leaving a non black mark. Some felt on the back before it goes into the frame helps that problem.
My main mirror is a piece of black stained glass, like you get at the stained glass supply place, they even cut it round for me. Then I set it in a round oak frame I had and added some Raku embellishments I made, including a cover so it is not open to veiw except when you want.
I still wish to get a obsidian stone and believe it or not I saw them for sale at Wall Mart, online...I don't purchase on line though.
The dark screen of our electronic devices work well too!

Ps, LC could you please address your tapatalk setting and remove the addvertisment that tells what sort of device you are posting from? Thank you so much... http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... 28633.html

Re: Scrying Mirror
I'm a bit of the odd one. I created my current scrying mirror much the same way, spirit talker suggested. I used a paint brush, acrylic paint, and a wall art frame.
Only instead of black paint only, I just had to add color- feeling adding color will not affect my ability to scry as I scry with an open eye- inner vision method. Meaning I can receive messages in the form of imagery with eyes open, so seeing something within the glass itself is no necessity for me. No limits.
I also added glitter, but since yes using a paint brush I added the glitter after all the paint at the very end, like a magical ingredient that seals the intent for the item to be used for scrying- seeing.
Here is how the mirror came out- as can be seen there is some color- I merely find solid black scrying items to bore me:
