Hello,
I was wondering what incense cones you have found you prefer. I ordered some HEM cones from Amazon but they all were very strong and smelled alike. Only about 1/2 would burn too. I just placed an order at 13 moons and purchased several Sandesh brand and one Kamini brand. Thank you for your help.
I think I posted this twice, my apologies.
Incense Recommendation
Re: Incense Recommendation
I rarely use cones or sticks because so many of them are too perfumy for me. I love resins and herbs and oils blended, but the combos are a whole other topic. Sometimes you can find quality resin sticks and they are usually a bit more expensive, but its worth it. Fred Soll's is a good brand.
For a basic "tool" box of pure natural ingredients one could include
*resins
Frankincense
Myrrh
Copal
Dragons blood
*herbs
Rosemary
Lavender
Sage
Juniper berries
*oils (Es)
Cedar
Orange
Lavender
Eucalyptus

Re: Incense Recommendation
I can only tolerate Nippon Kodo brand and their sticks cost less than cones. The Japanese brands are not as perfumed as Indian brands.
Re: Incense Recommendation
I don't burn cones often, once or twice a month, but I like Maroma Eda's cones. They seem a bit more expensive than other brands so if you burn them often they're probably not a good choice. I use their amber mostly, but also use their frankincense and sandalwood.

Re: Incense Recommendation
I like the hem sticks. They burn well amd i read they are natural with no perfumes.
Burning on charcole or without causes so much Smoke - i still find it hard to figure out how much of what i need.

Re: Incense Recommendation
Nag Champa is the world's most popular incense. The cones do pretty well, and have a consistent good quality but I don't like the excessive smoke from cones. Even though I like their convenience and tidiness, I switched, like I said, to Nippon Kodo's small 20 min sticks to lower the smokey blast.
