This might sound silly but I'm confused as on what I must write my spells or rituals on.
Usually I just write them on paper and with a pencil (never a pen).
Is that sufficient or do I need to write on or with something different?
Upon and with what should I write my spells & rituals?

There are no rules. Anything that serves your wants and needs is sufficient.

The map is not the territory, the facet is not the jewel.

Depends on how fancy you wish to be.
For me a loose leaf notebook works well and a pencil is a must...with an erasure! LoL
After you have the nuts and bolts sorted out then you can transcribe into a nicer book with a pen.

There might be times when a special type of paper will add zip to a spell but certainly isn't required. For example using rice paper, which completely dissolves in water, can add a visual effect to a banishing spell and can serve when you can't burn paper to make it go away. Some hoodoo root workers may use recycled brown paper bags - tearing away any machine cut edges. And the ceremonialist might prefer "virgin parchment" which is animal skin (like a drum head). A simple equivalent is a clean, uncreased sheet of plain paper so it's uncontaminated by prior thoughts. Most people use whatever paper is handy (& in many useful colors not available to our ancestors) when color adds meaning to the spell. Using red ink or red pencil also adds some zip as red is a power-color. But these are just artsy options for style and definitely not a requirement.

And you could make an ebook, of sorts, as a backup to your physical spell book, by starting your own thread here: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... adows.html, and adding to it occasionally as it suits you. You could consider this your "cloud," lol. This might sound silly but I'm confused as on what I must write my spells or rituals on.
