Nitika the spirit?
Hello, due to financial problems, and the immediate need of money (to fix my teeth), I have been searching for books on money magic, thats how I found a book by Damon Brandon named "Magical Cashbook", his book describes how you make a notepad and then with that notepad (and the right sigils) a spirit named Nitika, brings you the wealth you seek. He says its safe, but I have my doubts, I mean how can a spirit bring you anything without any demands? Does anyone know anything about this Nitika spirit? and if you have read and tried that book, do you think it works? is it safe? thanks

I haven't read this one myself, but it may be worth some time to read through its reviews if you're on the fence.

In my experience (and opinion), spirits don't exist to cater to humans. We are but a miniscule presence in the universal workings and as we have our own drives, wants, needs, motivations, interests and priorities, so to do other creatures. We don't operate within the same guidelines and perspectives, different things make us happy, satisfied, sad, etc... You can't know them. To believe one would come out of the blue simply to help you manifest something in your own life for nothing in return... that just sets off my spidey senses.
But I can't know about this one book and its one methods, and others may well believe differently and have vastly different experiences than I have.

Re: Nitika the spirit?
I agree with Vesca. But there's also the slim chance that the author made a pact with the spirit. I've found that fey and spirits alike, love gifts. So perhaps its a trade. I really don't know though, I haven't read the book.
*EDIT: Now, I just read through the reviews and people said it worked. But I am personally still suspicious because the editor calls it "the secret sigil of Nitika" And anytime that I'm told I can't something in another resource, I do a get a wee suspicious.

That's the thing, I got a bit suspicious myself about it...anyway I think I'll leave it alone then...

I just bought the book myself, and my spider-sense was going off too. I don't feel comfortable blindly using someone else's sigils. I'll do a little more research first and modify the cashbook to something personal. That's the thing, I got a bit suspicious myself about it...anyway I think I'll leave it alone then...

Thread revival time!
I have maintained a cashbook for a few months now. What began as "sure why not" curiosity tipped into a more regular practice after the first working with it, and I figured I'd clear up some of the misunderstanding here.
In his instructions, Brand explains that it is NOT a something-for-nothing arrangement with the spirit named Nitika, though the payment for services rendered is easy to overlook. Nitika is paid in the form of the petitioner's genuine feelings of gratitude in return for the money-fetching work the spirit does. A heartfelt "thank you" goes a long way, and for spirits it is no different.
My very first petition was answered on the last day of the working, for just a few dollars above what I had asked for. After that, I experimented a bit... I'm accustomed to lavishing spirits with offerings of liquor and incense, so I figured the spirit Nitika would maybe complete their task even faster with a bit of motivation. Not the case. The following three petitions I endeavored using ANY external offering went unanswered. When I went back to the instructed use, following it by the letter and thanking the spirit for their work prior to seeing tangible results, petitions were answered again.
Customary spirit-work protections are worked into the method in the form of a seal, names of power, and a safety-net clause, all of which you'll find in most any other responsible working with another entity. I find Brand's cashbook to be a perfectly safe means of working with a spirit, and in keeping with the instructions, good for beginners to boot.
