I believe your correspondences will make more sense if you have a particular tradition to follow.
Sounds like you may be experiencing information overload.

First, make a determined effort to break the mental brain-lock that there’s a one-&-only "right" way to interpret symbols. Each magical system uses values that are part of that specific magical system. Some use the 7-planetary vibration system, others use a Celtic Land, Sea, Sky or the Greek elemental system aether, air, fire, water, earth and all have variations.

Nature tells us how it wants plants to be used for our magic. It gives clues by appearance, texture, scent, color.
. If something dispels infection & illness it will also cleanse, repel & banish, and therefore protect.
. If it stimulates healing, it will also nurture and gather, and attract prosperity.
. Natural stones with suggestive shapes and markings tells how it will work for you.
