Connecting with the Earth
Has anyone noticed when you wear thicker soled shoe, such as boots it's harder to connect? I'm still somewhat out of practice on a few things and was wondering if anyone had advice or encountered this.

Re: Connecting with the Earth
Yup. I've found the best fix is go barefoot. If that's out, I'll do a grounding meditation, and if it's really, really bad, I'll press my back against a pine or oak tree. Sometimes just sitting amongst a grove of trees and slipping off my shoes for 10 minutes helps. The short-form is to press the palms of your hands against the ground or a tree. I've experimented with casting circle by shuffle-walking in an unbroken, widdershins circle spiraling inward to center, & bythe 3rd time around my feet felt so heavy I could hardly drag them. Granted, it's not practical to shuffle in spirals just walking down the street, or on-the-job.
Work boots may be reinforced with a protective steel shank, so you're standing on a metal strip, or the toes are encased. I dunno how to counteract that...maybe a hematite Ring could be tied to your shoe? Hematite anklet? And if the strip is aluminum...? Maybe water-filled, cushion insoles would be sufficient to break contact in either case?

There is a reason it is said: "Take Off Thy Shoes, This Is Holy Ground"

Re: Connecting with the Earth
I normally practice with my shoes off at home and I work in a warehouse that requires I wear steal toed boots. I've been trying to see if I can manage to connect even with them. Most regular shoes don't cause too much issue but I've been trying to push some of the bounds.

I've not been able to try that. However, as I'm taking time when I don't have my boots on to work on it it is getting easier.

Are you familiar with the copper bracelets said to relieve arthritis? There is also a popular diode bracelet on the market too, and it does work. So, I wonder if a copper anklet might work...or put an old, all copper penny in each boot. Reminds me of the penny loafer shoes. Copper is used in orgone accumulators. There must be a reason. its not magnetic but a good conductor.

I like to stand in the rain. I hesitate to go barefoot, due to my propensity for personal injury.
