My friend might be cursed/hexed

Postby Alue » Sun Feb 26, 2017 7:44 pm

My friend, who isn't a witch, just messaged me and my friend who are asking if this event is something to possibly be concerned about; there was a cardboard box in their backyard and her mom decided to look inside it today. There was two chicken carcasses and a goat carcass. She said that her father had some issues in the past with gypsies (I'm sorry if this is an offensive term, I'm not sure what else to say), and that made me think that it is more of an issue to look into. Her mom has salted and burned the carcasses, and I've suggested protection spells and jars. I'm still new to witchcraft, so I want to make sure we'll be able to do the best to get rid of any possible curse they might be getting. Any tips or ideas?

I believe the forum rules prohibit discussion of black magick, sacrificial magick, and so on and so forth. if you want to know methods of cleansing, and shielding, there are plenty of those around the forum. Sorry if this is an inconvenience.

13. Discussion of certain topics is not allowed. Prohibited discussions include, but are not necessarily limited to, blood drinking, the use of bodily fluids in spells, sex magick, using magic for revenge, using animal parts in spells, invoking demons and evil spirits to do your bidding and other stuff related to dark/black magick or demonology; extreme graphic violence, incitement to violence, prejudicial remarks, obscenity, erotica, pornography, vulgarity and insensitivity to tragedy/death/injury.

The OP is asking about cleansing and protection, the reference to animal sacrifice is contextual

I did say there is plenty of that type of information free to look at in the forum. And contextual or not, rules are rules.

I was simply clarifying that no rules were broken.

I didn't think SpiritTalker was a mod. But if you want the moderators input, I will certainly abide by what they have to say.

''Tis the best way to settle the dispute without it getting to a "oh yeah well you're a poopy head" level of nonsensery

I don't believe either of us has or would sink to that level. Neither of us are children. But I Don't disagree, it is the quickest resolution. Also Moderator accounts seem to be marked as blue on the list, SpiritTalkers is Violet. I don't believe SpiritTalker is a Moderator.

As stated before this is context. The forum rule is pertaining to people inquiring about doing such things more so than someone in need of help because they think they may have been cursed.

In any case, you're not a moderator. If you think a topic may be against the rules or need clarification, a friendly reminder is alright; but there is also the option to PM one of them or the report button works.

However, coming from the experience of the flowing of discussion here, I don't think this violates the rules.

Example: http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... ml#p243343
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter.

Yeah, I believe this is within the rules based on the context of it.

All I meant was say a friendly reminder, until he decided to be a white knight and dash in to tell me I'm wrong.(The exact same thing I did by the way, saying the original poster was wrong about the rules of the Forum etiquette.)

The way I read the rule states, discussing it is not allowed, it does not exempt context. So I politely said it is against the rules.

I was also just quoting the rule as it was written. The rule says not to talk about it, it doesn't say talking about it in a contextual method is allowed. Unlike the post you linked us to Lilith, I do believe this post referenced more directly, animal sacrifice, a very specific and graphic detail.

If I read this rule wrong, I apologize. I also never claimed to be a moderator. I just responded as I thought was respectful to the forums decorum. I didn't want to bother the moderators with something so minor. I am remiss, and won't be so folly again. I solemnly swear from now on if I think someone is breaking the rules of this forum, I will ignore it and let the mods be the voice of order, instead of trying to be moral myself.

If this is gonna start some kind of drama fest this thread can be locked up and I'll just find some other way to help her.
