I want to ask everyone's opinion on something. For those who like the bottom line, I was rude to group of people in a grocery store because I was frustrated and in a hurry. I felt really bad afterwards. But, I never made it to the meeting I was late for. Wondering if it was karma, or possibly a hex or curse?
Here's the full story:
Yesterday, I had a meeting after work, and I also had to go the grocery store for work. (I'm a culinary arts teacher) the only way to make it work with the short amount of time I had was to go to a different store that was closer to the meeting site than the one I usually use.
Of course nothing was in the same place so it ended up taking me just as long o find everything as it would have if I had just driven to the one I'm familiar with. I started to get very aggravated. Work had been stressful that day, and I really don't enjoy my job very much, so add that on top and I was really grumpy.
There was a group of people there, potentially from their corporate office, walking around, speaking Spanish and taking pictures of things in the store. They gist is that they got into my way 2x and the second time I just pushed through them and said in a sarcastic tone "excuse me, guys! I'm kind of in a hurry here!". The two woman in the group gave me a death stare while a gentleman apologized. I went down the isle and again, that's not where the coffee is like in the other store.
I lost it. Broke down basically, and then had to calm myself down in the grocery store before I exploded and made a scene. Once calmed down, I immediately felt bad for being rude to the people before. That's not typically how I am, and I'm not proud of it. So I thought to myself, "crap, I hope karma doesn't get me!" And thought about how sorry I was, and then thought to myself, "I wonder if karma gets you even if you've already learned your lesson." I already felt bad, so why does karma still need to come back on me?
Well, long story not very short, heh, sorry no story I tell is ever brief, I left the store and went to the meeting and the building was all locked up! I couldn't believe it! I could see the catering van, so I knew they were inside. I had never been to this place before so I went to all the door and tried them, locked. I went to a door marked culinary arts with a buzzer, still locked and no one came for the buzzer. Got back in my car, waited, watched, no one. Called the director, no answer, left a message. I'm thinking at this point "okay I need to walk around the building I guess. So I start around and this building is part of a campus, get cut off by a brick wall. Turn around, go around the other side and at this point I'm about 25 mins late.. I keep going, nothing. I'm like I can't leave without walking all the way around, so I keep going, there are very large bushes, as soon as I can start to see over the bushes, BAM! Huge room with all glass windows and all the chefs there and a guy in a suit in the front of the room addressing everyone. I'm outside, everyone can see me and I'm like OMG!!! So I run to the closest door I can see, locked.
And, I never got in. No one came to let me in. I didn't want to keep walking around to look for more doors because I honestly was embarrassed to interrupt. This was not a room full of people I typically work with. This was a meeting I was going to to network and meet more people in the industry. I just couldn't interrupt. I walked back past the Windows again and B Lined for my car.
It was a horrible experience. It made me feel stupid. It made me feel bad. It was a waste of my time, energy, and gas! On the way home I contemplated karma again. Then for some reason it popped into my head that maybe it wasn't karma. Maybe the one of the women in the store cursed or hexed me? I told them I was in a hurry so she said something so I would never make it where I was going..? I really don't know much about this type of magic so I'm just wondering, is it possible? And, do you think it was? Or karma? Or coincidence? Thanks for all responses!

I'm getting the two are not related, that you simply had a bad day and are reading too much into it. I wouldn't even go so far as to call it coincidence. Suppose, for example, the grocery store incident had not happened. And suppose you'd gone to the meeting and the same thing occurred, you were locked out, etc. Would you have attributed supernatural causes to it then? Or would you assume there was simply a mix up of some kind with the locked door (maybe they'd changed the start time, or the person who told you the start time had it wrong, etc.)? In the meantime, come up with some witty one-liners in case you run across any of these people in the future. Since you're in the same industry, you most likely will.I want to ask everyone's opinion on something. I second Kassandra.
Besides, I personally don't think you did anything wrong to cause bad karma. Yes, perhaps you were a little rude, your conscience told you that, but those people were standing in the way so what did they expect you to do? (there's nothing worse than trying to be in a hurry and people just stand around in a shop chatting like they are having a reunion... omg... drives me nuts... but I will politely ask them to move aside... even though I am suuuper frustrated)
I think it was just a bad day! I hope today is better for you!

Re: Karma, hex, or coincidence?
It sounds to me like the law of attraction operating in daily life. Breaking the chain of events could use something like centering coupled with an affirmation that "all is well, all is proceeding in rhythm with the universe" repeated until calmness ruled. You didn't say what you had done to regain self control, so maybe you did that.
Also, there could be contributing resentment from not liking your job and being expected to run errands on your own time. Sometimes we act out resentment by making resented tasks more difficult. Was the meeting work related? Unless you bilocate, chances are you can't be in two places at once. Could the shopping have been done after the meeting? In the morning? On company time? Just things to consider. Stay cool

Re: Karma, hex, or coincidence?
Thanks for all responses. You're all probably right and it was just a bad day. Dumb luck really. And, no, the shopping could not have been done during normal work hours, and if I had made it to the meeting I would have been rushed to get groceries afterwards, the store closes at 8pm. (It's a wholesale retailer for large quantity items)
Anyways, I do have a lot of resentment for my job. That is definitely where all the frustration and anger came from. I really did feel horrible for being rude to the people who were in my way. I know what I was truly upset about had nothing to do with them. I didn't mean to jump to supernatural causes, I just couldn't make sense of it at the time. Was I really so stupid that I was the only one who couldn't find the entrance?? I may not like my job, but I'm usually competent enough to do it and find the entrance to the buildings we meet in. And, I was really looking forward to this meeting. Networking with chefs was hopefully going to make my job easier, as I was hoping to get some to come as guest speakers and demonstrators for our students. I just need to try to stay positive, even if I'm frustrated or resentful. I definitely don't want to attract another incident like that one. I really felt absolutely stupid thinking about having to tell people WHY I didn't make it. "Well I was there but I was outside and couldn't figure out how to get in and couldn't hear anything so I just left"... So embarrassing..
If I could change jobs I would, but that's not really possible at the moment because I have student loans, car loans, and mortgage to pay off. My jobs pays well, I can't complain there. Maybe once more of my loans are paid off I can look for something that would make me happier. Thanks again for all your responses!!
