Wrong colour candles for ritual?

Postby Binglian » Fri Aug 19, 2016 8:42 pm

Hi everyone, I did a spell last week, and castes a circle calling the four corner as usual. Because it is kind of dark that day, I grabbed a candle that I thought it is suppose to be blue and invite the "water" element into my circle. But in the morning, the blue candle is actually a "bluish purple" or a "purplish blue" candle. Even now, I don't really know what colour is that candle suppose to be. It looks too blue for purple, but it also have a purple hue to be considered as a pure blue candle. Here is a link that closely represent the colour of that candle, but not exactly the same.

I was wondering would that have any negative effect on my spell that I cast last week? Since I think I used a wrong colour candle to invite the water element, would it cause my spell to backfire or not work?

Ps. I only used candle to call in the four corner, I didn't use any other materials, such as sea shells, feathers or earth.

Thanks everyone!

Anything so close in color (looks blue, so it is blue while you used it) is not going to counteract your intent, and intent controlls the spell.

It won't matter. Water can be blue, green, yellow, purple, etc.

Just like fire can be red, yellow, blue, green, etc.

The only issue it would make is if your water element was supposed to align with other 'blue' things during the ritual, or if it turned out to be the same colour as a different element.

So from what you've written, I'd consider it to be a purple-ish blue frequency of water. Nothing wrong with that!

To me it looks like the deepest blue sea color. I think your good :fairy:

Its interesting that red is the first color to disappear when decending into water.

HI everyone, thank you all for your answers! That's such a relieve, at first I thought I did something wrong and the spell backfired since alot of things happened after the spell was performed, and they aren't necessarily good. :( But, yes, I didn't align the water elements with other things in the ritual, infact, the spell didn't even request for a circle to be cast, I just feel like it is the proper things to do.

And that's a interesting fact, firebirdsfly, I didn't even know that red disappeared first in water. :D
