I'm not sure, but the central part looks like a variation of a symbol that (I think) is called the Masonic Compass..... I glimpsed it on TV once, I don't know anything about it.
Also, I think I see two halves of a sun symbol... But I've never seen a symbol split like that.
Like Firebird says, knowing where you got it may also help.
