Me Too!!!practical solitary magic by Nancy Watson.
How are you finding the Faery book by Alexander? I've been eyeing that one, and her mermaid book, for awhile now.Currently reading Dog With A Bone by Hailey Edwards and this beauty:
I'd like to find good fictional books on the fae. Preferably with a good story, romance maybe? Lol Any recommendations?
So far, it's interesting and informative. I like how it pulls information from all over the world vice sticking with Ireland. I'm not a fan of it calling EVERYTHING fae, like djinn and succubus. It kind of irks me the impression it gives me of classifying any supernatural creature as fae. I'll have to keep reading to give a more informative review. It's a good book to read for someone starting to delve into faerie lore and have an idea what they're all about.

As for fictional books on the Fae, I've recently fallen in love with Holly Black's Trilogy Tithe, Valiant and Ironside.
Dreaming the Dark - Starhawk
Awesome! I'll definitely consider posting my review up. I usually stick with Goodreads when it comes to posting things like that. I think this will be a nice place to post reviews as well.I look forward to that "more informative review."You can start a new thread on it in the book reviews section whenever you're ready (I'm trying to make book reviews a thing so we can set up something of a database for members to refer to if they're looking for new reading material).
I think it was actually the focus on the Seelie/Unseelie courts and the "alien" behavior of the Fae being explained a bit in the books that really drew my attention to them. Black has a really "grungy" way of writing that I like too. They're quick reads, took me about 4-6 hours each.
