Posting spells on social media

I have listen to some witches on other sites and they said that you should be carefull about putting your spells out there. Should I follow this advise? I have learned so much from other's that I would not find out by my self. I just wonder should I keep most of my spells to my self and just put out a few? Confused.

I understand the confusion. Some witches believe that sharing your personal spells gets rid of the value it has for you. To me this is more up to the person. If they want to share the spell, they can and whether over time they feel less attached to it is completely up to them. I, personally don't see any problem with sharing them and sharing them does help benefit others. Who knows, you could change someones life with this choice (no pressure ).

I would have to agree with Aesiryth on it being up to the witch in general and like he said they belive it decresses its effectiveness or value to yourself. However there is another reason witches are against such practices and its simply that people post spells they themselves have never done and then people get upset or mad when it dosent work for them. That and you never know if someone is responsible enough to use your spell accurately or properly. Essentially you dont want to post a spell and someone ends up hurt because someone else used that spell and hurt someone.

That being said I agree that most wouldn't learn if others hadnt posted what they have learnt and used so that you can learn and use to. I would keep my spells that are majorly important to me to my self and only share with those i thought would use it properly, but for minor spells i share them all the time and if requested i try to come up with spells for someone that is simple and that would work but not necessarily something I have tried before personally either because my version wouldnt work for them or i just havent had the need for such a spell.
