And the noise thing @Obsidian, the sound isn't great in my apartment building. Most of the people that live here are young students and they are mostly really sweet, excluding the one couple. Mostly 20 year old boys and I feel like the den mother, even though I'm only 25. They can be really loud though, haha. I'm one of those people that is really sensitive to loudness. Like just yelling for no reason or stomping down the stairs, really bugs me. It's really a personal problem. I'm pretty soft spoken, soft footed, and I like noises to flow. That's why it was so strange to me that anyone would yell at me for being loud. I know I'm not a loud person, never have been. Anyways, I will try your meditation methods, thank you!

I am with you on the loud noises thing, everything makes me jump.
Have you considered a white noise machine? It won't block terribly loud noises, but it really might help.

I have an app on my phone but what really helps is a fan! Unfortunately I live in the north and it's starting to get cold, so the fan may not work for long.

I used to use an air purifier when I need white noise. Maybe a thought when the weather gets too cold for a fan? It'll help you breathe easier (see what I did there?)

I like the air purifier thing, they have gotten much more affordable lately. Having three cats and a dude that eats strange foods from far away lands, we could use it. Thanks for the tip Random!
I remember a room in Laughlin Nv, we used a de-ionazation machine, it's supposed to remove the smell and odors of smoking from the rooms, I think we ran it all night, and then felt weird in the morning. I heard those things remove the air... um, from the air?
Are these purifiers similar?
