A simple protection/good health/overall safety spell?

Is there a simple spell that I can cast for protection/good health or just overall safety spell that I can cast for my mom? As she's getting older and older I always worry about her, and even though I can't watch her all of the time/be there for her I would feel much better if I casted a spell to just help with everything(even if it's just a little bit).

I don't have any candles or other materials to go along with the spell since I'm "in the broom closet," so something without using all of those things would be great.

Also, I've heard many times that you should invoke the God and Goddess before casting the spell(and sometimes even a circle?). How exactly do I do this?

ill answer in steps so bare with me

to cast a circle
I tend to just cast a mental circle for everything, invitioning a white light of protection around the area i am working

some take their wand and use it to trace the circle to better define the actual circle and act like the wand is emitting a protective light that leaves a trail behind it connecting and making a circle i in which all that are within it are safe
then call on the 4 elements and invite the god and goddess into their space

me personally i cast this protective bubble from myself and let it out as big as i need it, drawing on the elements to help me make it all the way around me in what the Native Americans tradition of the 6 directions:
north, south, east, west, above and below
i get my energy from earth(below my feet), i use air to push the bubble out, i use water to invision the bubble being fluid and moving, and i use fire when i intensify the power of my bubble
after that if im just offering or speaking with the gods thats all i do
if im casting a spell or feel i need to protect from negativity even more with what im working with i take salt and cast a circle around the alter (or on the alter depends on where im working) making sure that there are no places that are weak within the salt and work with my spell
i usally dont include myself in the salt circle because generally i just dont have the freedom to do that because it leads to drama and alot of questions from my grama

this is a general way to cast a circle in this case its for a potion but the same steps can be applyed for other spell work if you wish to go more traditionalish

Health and Protection Spell

Need
A picture of the person that you can burn
a flame
a bowl or pan that it can be set in once on fire
a permanent marker in black




what you do

You simply cast your circle if you wish, i personally dont for this but i do keep salt water by the area im working.

You are then going to take and on the back of the picture your going to write your mothers full name on the top, letting the love you have for her pour into her name.
Next chose which sigils you wish to use.
I would use the first pics last row sigil two and three "good health" and "healing", then on the second pic use the runic "security" sigil on the first top right hand corner and the binding rune "prosperity and well-being" .

As your drawing the sigils you are going to envision the intent you have with making these sigils;
so for the "good health" imagine your mom is happy and healthy and loving life, for the "healing" imagine her over coming any illness and healing both physically and spiritually that all her worries are no more, and so on till your done with the sigil drawings.

When you are done you will then take and light the picture on fire and let it all burn, never blow out the fire let it go out on its own and if you have to light it again if all of it dose not burn. What this is doing is the flames are sending your protection and wishes of good health to your mother's spirit and spirit guides aiding them and your mother.

When the photo is all ashes and on longer smoldering take and get ride of the ashes by giving it back to the elements/nature for example:
bury it in the ground, throw it into the wind letting it carry the ashes away, any form of running water taking it away such as a creek or stream or sink if you have to even a toilet if your desperate just not if your in an apartment complex or like where all your houses are side by side and go through each others pipes cus then that want work.
i just waited to do it on a rainy day and put the ashes on the dirt in the front yard off the side of my driveway and let the rain wash it away.


Alternatives

You could carve the sigils and your mothers name into a candle but you said you didn't have one
You can write it on a piece of paper but that wouldn't be as strong and i suggest you write your moms full name then "mother of _________" and add your full name to make it more connected cus you never know if someone has the same name as you (cus there are a lot of samantha Chandlers in the world lol).

you could also make your own sigil instead of using the runic ones

I love Baby Bear's spell a lot. I would try that.

I was going to do a witches bottle for my mother who needed protection. Or I was going to charge something (like a necklace) with protection for her to carry/wear.

Im guessing since you said that you are in the "broom closet" that your mother doesnt know either? That makes it harder for sure. Try Baby Bear's spell and let us know how it goes.

and you could make a necklace for your mom but the prob is they dont always carries it around thats why i chose this one for her to do, sends it to the soul not just the person

Yeah, my mom doesn't know anything about me turning to Wicca. I plan on keeping it that way at least until I move out of the house...

But yes, the spell has worked, and I will continue to use it
