Teeth Falling off

Postby ELANTIFAZ » Tue Feb 04, 2014 11:53 am

Hello everyone , I am new here my name Drey, for a while now I keep having the same dream , my teeth falling off , or me pulling out my teeth . Again last night I dreamed my 2 front teeth wore loose and they fell off , and as i touched my molars they practically dissolved , always different scenario but same dream , my teeth :( , long story short , I've had 4 dental surgeries since I was 12 , I somehow don't think that's it though , the dreams are kind of frequent , and just in general I don't rest enough because im always dreaming , always something different but again last night my teeth ? Anyone know what this could be ? Thank u in advance :wink2:

You're probably dreaming about it if your thinking about it a lot or worried.

Are they bothering you any at all? In any way?

I use to have braces for my teeth and when the braces were removed, the dentist advised me to wear my retainers every night (so the teeth don't move back to where they were). I misplaced my retainers for a few weeks and when I found them again the retainers were kind of uncomfortable. Just felt weird between my teeth because I hadn't worn them for awhile.

Anyways, that night I had a disturbing dream where I was pulling glass out from between my teeth. I kept pulling it out and it would relieve some of the discomfort but would bother me again. It wasn't gory or bleeding etc Just me calmly removing them.

The discomfort I was feeling for real affected my dream.

I have a re-occurring teeth falling out dream, (ugh :( ) and I read somewhere it has to to with the metaphor... " not being able to swallow that"..."or I can't stomach that" like something is to difficult to chew or process. It is totally mental and has little to do with dental issues. This made an incredible amount of sense to me since I was in a situation that was not acceptable. I also hear it can have to do with not being heard, or your words fall on deaf ears.
I had braces too ...and a huge fear of the dentist so I imagine they can all kinda weave together, your intense treatment for teeth, and people not listening to you, and have a situation you can't stomach.
...my 2 dream cents.
:D

I think FF is right about the metaphorical aspect. I hate those kinds of dreams!

I've had a few of these kind of dreams myself. I believe the dream interpretation book I read said that this dream relates to a feeling of losing control or not having control of a situation. blue_flee

I often have dreams like that and have been lucky enough to have never had issues with my teeth, no braces or anything. I did some research and found out that dreams relating to your teeth falling out have been linked to a feeling of insecurity in your life. It can be any kind of insecurity, relationships, work, money for example. Now that I'm aware of it, I have been able to notice and pin down what is making me feel insecure and tackle the problem. Hope this helps! :)
