Dysautonomia might be the condition ff was trying to think of. Spinal cord injuries, MS, and brain injuries can cause heat and cold intolerances, as can a whacko thyroid. The whacko thyroid is probably the easiest of the aforementioned conditions to treat. Black spots and passing out are definitely reasons to see a doctor.

Wow mechanical knowledge, that's great... But do we really need all this crap?

We already have natural air conditioners, they're called forests and rivers ;)
I wish I had the opportunity to go for a wonderful swim! Unfortunately, we work close to 40-70 hours per week. :anxious:
However, any free time I do enjoy taking my Saint Bernard down to our local bird sanctuary for a swim. Last week I was able to take him to this wonderful fly fishing spot and we all swam down the river. smiley_dance
It's just the time when you're cooking for 1000 people in front of a huge grill outside at a state fair in 103 degree heat do I enjoy a bit of help from the air conditioner!

I'm lucky enough to have enough of a connection with the air element that I can call for a breeze/wind whenever I need it.

I'd recommend cooling chants: really anything you can come up with that can easily be repeated several times in order to put yourself in a cooling state. One I use, can't remember if I got it from here or somewhere else:

I am cool,
Cool as ice,
All this cooling shall suffice.

Ms Frosty is on to something here...I think that is the name of the affliction I was thinking of, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysautonomia but do get to the Dr. anyway, if it is a thyroid, that is relatively easy to treat.

Hormones can play a big part too, although you are awfully young for hormone drugs. (Dr.s were offering it like candy when I was cresting on cronedome.)(I declined)..it's time to power up! Heat shields on Scotty!!, were going through a nasty one this time>>>>>> Here, lets add a hundred and twelve degrees to it and see what happens...will the witch melt?

Ya know, I do complain bunches myself about the heat, ...and every year I say we gotta get an AC in here, and I tell ya, when it is hot enough to have your silver jewelry burn you...then it's hot. I tend to get migraines when it's too hot. Then on the other hand, in my own home I can say I'm saving the planet one air-conditioner at a time  I work in the city, in a flower shop...lots of AC, (We do turn off one cooler over the summer though when it get slow) but I gotta tell you, nothing beats a HOT FLASH better that stepping into the cooler set at 42 degrees!! Unfortunately no swim worthy stream or forest nearby, so Cal is mostly a desert, maybe it's time to move...to Hawaii!

Try the following chant;

I am Cool, cool as Ice, all this cold is my desire,

So mote it be!

I don't know if it's just a placebo effect but it never fails to keep me chilled, and I need to a lot haha:)

Really? The only river near me is so toxic that people die from swimming in it. And the nearest forest is too far to drive. Maybe not everyone lives in the country.

Go for a swim, you might see a fish. They're really good listeners

Well, assuming you can't sit around enjoying the river and forest all day, every day, you just really need to get an air conditioner. A window unit would be way better than nothing. I don't know how anyone lives without a/c. My dad is the A/C guy, so it's always been a part of my life. I've lived in apartments without air for short periods and I was so miserable. It was truly unbearable. I'm sensitive to temperature changes like you are. Some people don't mind it that much. Hopefully you can find an affordable A/C unit. They make window units with remotes these days. :)

Yeah, I get overheated really easily. I have my thryroid under control. I work for a little time and my face gets all red and hot and I've gotten sick from too much sun before. I always have had this problem. I keep trying on Free Cycle but no one ever responds to anything I send at all.

Keep trying to find something darlin. I get so miserable during the hotter months. Thankfully my bf put a window unit in our bedroom this year. In previous years here we've only had one in the living room. Life has been much more bearable this summer!
I feel your pain.
