Ah, the good ol' Transformers. I watched a bit of that in the tail end, my big bro liked it as wel, lol. It was almost as cool as Voltron! Or this old tape of 'Dino Riders' I had... wore that thing to death :(
The older X-men cartoons were awesome, but the new ones... butchered the overall storyline sooo bad.
Now anime has captured my cold little heart. Full Metal Alchemist, I wish witchcraft had all those flashes and bangs.

I'm a college freshman trying to grow up for once... and somehow I am on a pagan forum talking about cartoons.

Aye, don't grow up too fast laddie!!!

ANY cartoon is better than the "reality" tv garbage today. What has happened?? I dunno, but I suppose we all saw it coming after the Truman Show.

Have fun Orion!

Are you talking about X-Men Evolution?

Ya I love it. Shadowcat is an awesome character who was not in the 80's cartoon. I think the premise is cool too. So it looks like you and I are both going to be pummeled with tomatoes for our likes!

Blessings,

*comes in with the Emperor's voice* ::darkmood:: You both disappoint me.

Commence with the pelting of Tomatos! *leans over to the side to listen to a random voice* Okay... ETA on Tomatos, 3 weeks... but mark my words!
When they come, it shall be a hail storm of bushel fulls of tomatos!

Oh my gosh, my brother used to love power rangers, i hated them but I had to watch like all of them, it was horrible. I used to watch X-men, the one with the chicl who had red and white hair or whatevee. But my all time favorite show was Mr. Rogers I used to watch that show everytime it was on when I was younger.

I concur on original power rangers being good and new being crap. :P
After like the second or third set of machines, it started getting cheesy to the point I couldn't handle it. Not even with crackers.
Mr. Rogers, we was that strange man on tv. I think I watched him a lot... it was one of the four stations we picked up contiously, lol. Now it takes me half an hour to find out there is nothing on tv.

Did you know that the average human eats about a pound of insects a year without knowing it? Do you know where most of these bugs come from? KETCHUP!!! Thanks Orion, for keeping up my protein intake. I will enjoy the Smushed tomatoes!

Maybe we could make you an honourary X-Man at the Xavier Institute: Tomato-Boy, with the x-gene power to turn animate objects into Ketchup!

Pwer Rangers did have some good martial arts. . .(I'm grapsing for positives). . .

Blessings,

Oh my, the "olden days." smiley04_mac The Apple II (E), He-Man and She-Ra... oh the wonders of it all. When I was a kid it was (of course) the above, but She-Ra will always win in that battle... yes, Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street (yep, up till I was about 12...) The Electric Company, The Sprockets, Jem (Synergy!)... and a whole lot of playing outside. Something we seem to not be doing much of these days as children.... sadly.

So far as Power Rangers, I was actually either just in college or finishing high school when it came out in the US, but I attended school with one of the "dopey" characters.... there was a chubby guy and a skinny guy... the skinny guy was my old friend. (Jason Narvy is his name, if anyone's really into it.) Of course we lost touch, and he was a strange bird anyhow, but yep, I know a movie star. ....Oh, and for any ER fans... Kellie Martin, (her character got killed quite a while ago in the show, knifed with Dr. Carter (Noah Wiley)....) we went to the same elementary school. And she was a bi*#@ even then. Hmmm.

And yes, I watch Charmed, Buffy and Bewitched. And I totally can't believe they are making a movie with Nicole Kidman ?!? Gawd, bleah. But I tend to think movies that have been made like "The Craft" are slightly more responsible for making the innocent youngsters believe it is a dark and magical art where anything can be accomplished. I certainly hope that Levitating, Orb-ing, Exploding, Vampire-Hunting, Nose-Twitching, Broom-Flying Women are really not what people think of when their thoughts turn to us.
My goodness, have we ever been over-publicized.
