My own personal dedication ritual

Well, the last few days I've been thinking about doing my first ritual [Ive always been good with meditating and manipulating energies], a dedication ritual! Just my way of saying thanks to the Lord and Lady for finding me, and bringing me into this amazing spiritual new life!

I'm making it all myself, not copying anyone else's words or ingredients [though i'm sure someone used something simmilar before or something ], so it would be personal between me and the God and Goddess.

Here's what I have so far, any feedback or suggestions greatly appreciated!!

What I need:
1 black candle
1 white candle
decorate my altar with Eucaliptys leaves, for its moon and feminine properties to catch goddess's attention//rid any bad eneregy
scatter salt mixed with cumin around the circle of space im going to be working in, also to rid bad eneregy


I will stand in front of my Altar, cast my circle, and recite the following incantation I wrote:
"Goddess of the Moon and God of the sun
Thank you for finding me, now my life has begun
I pledge to always be honest and true , Harm none will be my biggest rule
I will take in the wonders of nature with every breath, and spread positive energy with every step
Spiritual growth is my goal, now I have a part of the power forever in my soul"

[Yeah, its kind of cheesy, im no poet, but it really did come from the heart ]

then I will burn the paper with my incantation on it, close my circle, snuff my candles, and thats it!!

Pretty sweet and simple!

good luck! i actually performed my dedication ritual today.... nothing special. i just sat outside (in a meditation pose) and spoke:
My God, my Goddess, hear me.
With the changing of the season,
let there be change in me.
I open myself to You,
open my heart and my soul.
I swear to protect nature as You do,
protect Your embodiment and soul.

Very simple, yes. I had my eyes closed and as i spoke the the chant, the world felt as if it were moving around me. My dog was behind me and she kept whining louder and louder as i spoke, but when i stopped and opened my eyes, she fell silent. I wasn't sure what i expected, but it was an interesting sensation .
