I'm not sure how to reduce the pixel size in this...so I just put a link.

My altar is really simple, then again, it's also a work in progress. Please ignore my crooked candles! >_<

Okay, well, here's my alter. Its still in the bargaining stages... So, I dont think it's as good as a lot of other people's alters on here, but in the spirit of keeping my self esteem up, I guess I can say its a good start for me. Im still missing so much! But, its not like I can go buy the things I need. (My parents dont know Im practicing Pagan rituals...) And I dont know any Pagan/Wiccan people in real life, so Im basically at a point where I either have to make what I need, or improvise. (Which isnt that bad, but I much rather would have a really nice, original looking...) So, here's my alter. Please comment!

Okay, I have two candles. One in the upper left-hand corner is a silver-white and is my Goddess candle. The one in the upper left-hand corner I have a green candle for the God. I didnt have any special Pentagram, so I just found a nice one online, and put it in this silver picture frame. I slipped a white rose in the frame, just because it looks nice. I didnt have any burning incense, and I cant really use burning incense because my parents would wonder what I was up to, so I use one of thoughts scented oil things with the distributive sticks. I placed a white candle on my alter, I used white because I dont really have any other color candles in my house. I may be able to get other candle colors though... I have a bowl of water, with a shell next to it. And, I have a bowl of salt in with a rock and a copper bracelet. I also have that blue star with eight points there to remind me of the eight Shabbat. And, that little black book is my Book of Shadows. And, thats about it...

I love all your altars! I don't actually have a permanent alter as I don't any space in my room (down-side of living with parents) but I do have what I call a portable one. It is a beautiful wooded box my pop made, about the size of A4 paper. I do, however, have about two shelves worth of supplies.

Don't worry I know how you feel. I have been buying things off of eBay. Just the basics so if my parents see them then they think it is for something else. Like when I bought my alter cloth, my mum saw it when it was draping over my hand and asked if it was a scarf. I said yes of course.
I love you altar by the way, even if it is only in the beginning stages.
Blessed Be

I have a silver candle for my Goddess and a golden candle for my God. My Deities are Phobos Apollo and Artemis, though. I also have a charm bracelet that I consecrated and wear that has a little silver moon and a golden sun on it. :D But, anyway, It depends on who you worship.

Thanks! Reading and looking at everyone altars have given me some great ideas.
I have alot of CDs that dont work and have decided to put pictures of gods and goddess's on them.
I also like Greek_Wiccan13's charm braclet. I have alot of beads and charms, so I am going to make a braclet or atleast something to hang around candles or just sit on my altar.

I was also very excited because I found my chalice and it has a star on it Ina circle that alkmst looks like a pentacle. Here is a pic: I'm planning on painting it to represent me more at a later time.
It could also represent the sabbats as it has eight points. I wish I was lucky enough to find something like this at home or at a cheap shop. Nice altar by the way!

I don't have a pic of my alter, but the new place we moved into had a wee skinny room inside the storage room with a square hatch that i found out goes straight down to the streets storm drain, the space is like an under front steps pantry of sorts. so I took it over as my alter space.
it's like having my own private indoor well!
very good for my work with hel.
so I set up all my books and supplies on the shelves, extra incenses, candles, holders, chalk string etc.
and put my big ol blue trunk over the hatch that leads to the storm drain,it gives me just enough space to close the door and kneel on my alter pillow in front of the alter.
I've used the blue trunk and same alter cloth for yonks.
the cloth is some silky black thing with bats on it.
I've got my alter facing north,i usually face north or west.
I've got the usual candle for each element/direction thing. I usually carve symbols and runes into the candles too.
for the full moon I've got a candle holder with a moon on it to hold the White candle, and a moon stone rests at it's foot.
for the dark moon I have a spidery looking candle holder with a black candle for hel.
in the middle I have a fabric pentacle. it's just two pieces of White fabric sewn together,in side is some of my hair and a broken baby tooth of mine, outside I stitched a very lopsided pentagram.
I have a wee Boyle of wise blood on one point and a wee bottle of moonstones on another point and a few other small symbolic things on other points.
I put all my incense type things to the east and my salt container to the north,my bottle of water and dish are situated west,I've got a wee cauldron sort of near north in the middle, inside is some ash from a spell I did that I sometimes anoint myself with. at so point im going to have to move the ash when I need the cauldron again. I turn the lid upside down and a winning half of a wishbone and a wee candle from a birthday cupcake live on the lid.
to the east I have a wee bat statue and some feathers,to the south I've got this bizarre red plastic dragon horse figurine.
to thecwest I've got a stone with a bear symbol painted on it that I use to symbolise my mother, her birthdayvis in august.
to the north I've got a plastic pumpkin container full of graveyard dirt.
also my crystals and stones that I'm not currently using
I've in a wicker pumpkin basket to the north.
scattered over my alter are also chestnuts my mom brought me from ireland, tiny dead shiny green beetles a friend gave me,a hand carved mini native canoe paddle necklace, hand carved mini inukshuk necklace and a spiral symbol on a neckalce. I nevervwear them but like them and what they mean.
also two crossed bones live under the hel candle and near the hel candle and the cauldron is a cat skull.
also to the northeast I've got a gargoyle candle holder that always holds myurple strength/speed candle.

my alter sounds really busy.
but it's always how I've had it and it works and is very functional for me.
it's almost coffee table sized.
I do love the new luxury of private space and room to lay out all my supplies though!
it's awesome!
I will try for a picturecsoon.

The God and Goddess candlesticks are antiques.. This was right after finishing a ritual, so I just took a quick picture.
