tetragrammaton ritual

Hi,
i learned this by accident. for a while i've studied a portion of the kabbalistic text called the Zohar.
in one of the books. it tells of the tetragrammaton. the ineffable name of God. and it's four letters correspond to the four directions of the earth.
the letter Yod ( the name is written as yod heyi vau heyi) is towards the direction of the east
the letter Heyi is towards the south
the letter Vau is towards the west
the final Heyi is towards the north
the letters represent the masculine and feminine aspects of the Divine. and also can be used in a form of a mantra and mandala like meditations.
in a ritual it can be used for cleansing. as well as clearing. i myself just use frankincense incense. and point it in the directions of the compass.
i know there are other versions of tretragrammaton rituals. but i use a simple version. which is the above.

Erm. You don't seem to have written what the actual ritual is, simply names and directions, were I to do this ritual should I light incense and face each direction and then say the letter's name? Or write it in the air?

if you have knowledge of the hebrew letters of god's name; yes! and yes; it is the ritual. but can be used as a meditation.
