Protection against harm

Postby ScarlettRose » Wed Nov 03, 2010 9:25 pm

I wrote this spell! :D I wrote it when I was going through a bit of drama with a girl, but I haven't cast it yet. Thought I would share it. This is one of my best I have written. I'm proud of myself! :)

You will need:
Herbs, Lambs Ear, 1 bay leaf, lavender.
1 piece of paper.
1 Black candle.
a fireproof dish.

Ritual:
Cast your circle if you chose to do so.
Before lighting candle, repeat this chant 9 times:

"I protect myself from harm. Please hear my charm. I chant true to you, I pray and ask of The Goddess so lovely and God Divine, please help me with the power of my protection spell. May it work well. I thank thee, I am free. No more negativity!
I am happy and cheerful. Oh So Blessed! So mote it be."

Light your candle. arrange your herbs around the candle. Feel and bring in the energy from the candle, feel it bringing you positive and warm feelings into you. Imagine a gold light around you, just glowing. Focus on that as long as you please.

Now write the chant on paper. Write protection and happiness on your bay leaf. Light your paper with the candle flame & put in fireproof dish and throw the bay leaf on top, to release the energy. Thank the God & Goddesses once more. & let the candle burn down, then collect the herbs left and put them around your home or even on your altar.
Breathing in I feel gratitude; Breathing out I give thanks.
Breathing in I feel joyful; Breathing out I celebrate.
Breathing in I know compassion; Breathing I am compassion.
Breathing in I feel loved; Breathing out I offer love.
Breathing in I am still; Breathing out I am at peace.
Om.

Very nice ScarlettRose. If you don’t mind I have some questions, but first let me explain please.

When I ask these questions it isn’t because I’m challenging you on anything or because I think you’re wrong about anything in the spell. I’m asking them because the more information people get the better they can do in writing their own spells, and I think you’re one of those people who would like to help others grow.

But, before I ask you these questions first I want to say kudos to you for not telling people which herbs to use! Different herbs have different magical correspondence for different people and if people select their own herbs themselves they will naturally select the ones that have the best correspondence for them in relation to the spell they are doing.

So, anyway…

You suggest black candles. Can you tell people why you suggest black?

For myself in my magical practice I use the color black for warding/repelling, hiding, shielding, and restraining. Depending of course on the spell I’m doing. So, I do get why black candles but it would be nice if others knew why you suggest them.

Why do you suggest doing the chant 9 times? Why not more or less?

Anything else that you explain to folks will help them understand where you’re (and consequently your spell) are coming from and that will help them better work the spell for themselves.

Thanks for your feedback, Serendipity. Much appreciated.

I chose black for the same reasons you listed, I feel it as a protection color. Since this spell is a protection spell though, I would recommend people changing it up because it's to protect you and mine might not suit you for what you're protecting yourself from. Also, I picked the number nine because I just felt it very intuitively correct for this spell. Again, you can change that if you please.

The herbs that I picked are to help protect you, they are very strong and powerful herbs especially together.
I hope that helped explain a little better. :D

That is a great help ScarlettRose. :)

The more people understand why something is in a spell the more likely they are to give it proper attention as well as construct the spell properly.

very nice, you explained why you chose what you did which will help others to make there own spells

one thng I have always thought very important...is...that people DO create their own spells
take the time to think about what your need/goal is
take time to research what herbs/candles/colors will help bring your spell to life
think about how you phrase your spell...is your intent clear
then when you are ready...create your space and set to work

thank you for sharing

Thank you for the compliments, bluemoon. (:
What you said is very true. When I write my spells I take time to figure out all of those things. Thanks for your feedback though. It's nice to know people appreciate this spell. I really wanna write more!

Something I personally do to protect myself and others from harm or to keep safe is when I am ready for sleep, I lay on my bed, and envision the individual(s) that I want to keep safe or from against harm and envision covering their body with rings or circles up and down the whole vision of the individual. For example, every night before bed, I lay down and vision each of my children one by one, myself and our home and envision placing white circles or rings, to keep us safe and from harm. It works for me. I know it is not an outspoken spell, bu a personal ritual that works for me by using my mind, heart, body and soul!! :D

I love that you added bay to the spell! Its a great protection herb, mainly protecting against psychic attacks! Great construction! I love it!
