Protection & Hex or Curse Removal

Learning how to protect myself was the third lesson my grandmother ever taught me, and it was the most important lesson I have learned as of yet. Everyone encounters a person who will take advantage of another or lash out in pure anger without level thought. It is important to be able to protect yourself. Below you will find two spells, try them out and ascertain whether or not you feel less negative energy.

Charm to Protect
You will need a few large pinches of Agrimony and a white organza bag. Try to work on a Dark Moon for best results, a Waxing Moon would also work if needed.

Fill bag with Agrimony, while reciting:
"On Danu's moonless night,
the abyss is bare of light,
I call on she to bestow her protection unto me."

Tie the bag with three knots and keep near you when you need protection.


To Remove a Hex or Curse
You will need a burning pot and Juniper. Try to work during a Wanning Moon or for very negative situations, work during a Dark Moon.

Light Juniper in pot and blow gently until it is smoking. Recite:
"Smoke of Juniper ascending above,
surrounding mise with Danu's protective love,
it billows out and burns away,
each hex and curse bestowed upon my way."

Let Juniper burn until it goes out, while letting the smoke wash over you. Give thanks to Danu.

*Agrimony is a very powerful protection herb. If someone sent negativity towards you, it will protect you from the negativity while sending it right back to the sender.

*Juniper is a very powerful protection herb as well. It is well known for breaking curses or hexes.

*Danu is the great mother goddess. She is; abundance, protection, purification, blessings, creator, magic, mother and moon.

I write all my spells in Latin first, then translate to English, so I have the Latin versions of the above spells available for anyone who is interested.

Notation - added Jan 3 2009:
This spell is more effective in removing when you are able to include a piece of hair or skin, from the sender of the hex or curse. You would just burn it up with the Juniper, that way it is directed at the person vigorously.
