Re: Here's mine!
Hi Firebird, I can't remember if the clay had a brand name, it was €2 a brick and suited my needs so I didn't look at anything else to be honest! It didn't need to go in the kiln so I just let it sit and dry on its own, which took about a week or so because I used 2 whole bricks for this thing :) Ya...

Re: Here's mine!
I used the cheapest kind I can get, so just a simple brick of grey modeling clay. It was the air drying kind so no oven involved

Re: Here's mine!
Thank you! The ram skull was a very fun project because it took quite a bit of time to finish. Kept me busy!

Here's mine!
Hi everyone, so here's a picture of my altar :) On it is a mirror, scrying mirror, candles, my BoS, a chunk of amethyst, incense holder, cup, pendulum, wand and my new set of tarot cards. They're the Shadowscapes deck by artist Stephanie Pui Mun Law and they're sooo pretty. The centerpiece is a ram ...

Re: Afraid it may happen again...
I've heard that drinking some chamomile tea before bed may prevent sleep paralysis from happening. One of my friends dealt with it a lot, and she says it really does work. When it does happen, what she does to get out of it is she focuses on moving the fingers of one hand. Sleep paralysis is basical...

Re: Wiccan Name Help?
I don't know much about destiny numbers, but I might have an addition for you: are you attracted to a certain pantheon or mythology? If you, a name from that culture might resonate better with you. For example if you feel drawn to the Greek pantheon you could try and find a Greek name for yourself u...

Re: Shadow People
I've seen shadow people a few times, like Snowcat says, they seem to sit there and watch me when I'm falling asleep. At one point, I had a friend at the house while I was still living with my parents. We were home alone for the night, and I was downstairs doing the dishes when my friend came running...

Re: Reconciliation Honey Jar Spell
I'd go for ylang ylang oil, and use lavendar, chamomile and rose petals in the jar, maybe basil?
That's just me going by my instincts though, I'm sure other people on the forum are a lot more knowledgeable with regards to herbs!

I'm celebrating tomorrow! My sister witch has prepared a ritual and we'll be drawing mother goddesses. The latter isn't mabon related, but she's going to have a baby so it'll be a beautiful experience for us both!

Re: BOS language question
I use more than one language: Dutch (my own language) for most information, but I prefer spellwork to be in their original language. I usually do translate though so I know exactly what it says. I think those are personal preferences though, not rules set in stone.

Including pets/familiars in rituals
Merry Meet everyone! I apologize if this is in the wrong subforum :) I was wondering if any of you include your pets or familiars into your rituals? I've had rabbits since growing up and since I started practising witchcraft, it seemed logical to give them the role of "easter bunny" on Ost...

Can't believe nobody's mentioned Eostre/Ostara yet, the Celtic Godess associated with the spring equinox (Easter!), also: Freyja and Holda in Norse mythology.

Re: Spanking as Discipline?
The way I see it, spanking isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's pretty much the only way to discipline a child too young to understand reason. With older children... I feel that if a child is able to understand reason you as a parent should be able to use reason to make them realize what they did was...
