Re: Eating meat..?
Personally, I do eat meat, but not nearly as often as most Americans today. When I do eat meat, I try to buy meat that is ethically produced, and I am striving towards being able to raise and butcher my own meat in an intentional community. Homesteading of a sort. I usually pray (silently or out lou...

Re: Harm None?
An it harm none, do as ye will. I've always interpreted it as a map for a thought process. 1.) Does it cause harm? If not, do what you want to do. If yes... 2.) Does the good done outweigh the harm caused? If yes, do what you want to do, knowing that you will reap both the benefits and the consequen...

Re: A newbie question
Man, I've done this all sorts of ways. I've made up spells as I go and written them down later (that's probably what I do most often, actually), I've taken the time to write them out in my Book of Light and Shadow and brought the book into circle, and I've even cast a circle in the tiny bathroom of ...

Re: Artemis and Ganesh
I mix pantheons all the time. While it's probably fair to say that most of the deities I work with are from the Norse pantheon, I definitely work with Greek, Egyptian, Hindu, Shinto, Buddhist, and Celtic deities and spirits. There are some deities that are known to have rivalries with each other--th...

I like Blackmore's Night, S.J. Tucker, Kellianna, Lisa Thiel, Tin Hat Trio, Tom Waits, Sharon Knight, Candice Night, Lisa Dancing-Light, Reclaiming, Wendy Rule, etc. I'm also working on a CD of free-form improvised duets with a witchy friend of mine. I'll try and post it when it's done, we're schedu...

Re: Lord of the Rings
I call on the power of "fictional characters" all the time. It seems pretty typical in eclectic practices.

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!

In other words I have no idea what this is.
Also, I think I've identified the bottom left "sodalite" as Iolite.

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
Thanks for all the help, everyone! The light blue is definitely angelite, thanks! There's no labradorite here, they're all sodalite I'm fairly certain. I'll try and put more pictures up today.

Re: My Altar-In-Progress
I love this! So much love and magick here. The Mystic Faerie Tarot is the BEST! So glad to see some love for it, it's such a wonderful deck! I love how you're using jewelry, I would never have thought of it and it looks really great. What a clever idea. I love your pentacle, too. I can't wait to see...

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
The one that is way orange on the other side is probably fire agate or carnelian. The blue chalcedony could also be celestite. I would also like to know what the orange and black one is too. The blue chalcedony one really confused me--it is very smooth and opaque, it is grainy if it has any visual ...
